"We loved staying in this hotel with its unique history and beautiful decor. It is a special place in a wonderful location and we had fabulous views from our balcony. The walk to Morcote took under 30 minutes with lovely views but you need to wear trainers as the path is uneven. We also enjoyed walking to the castle through the vineyards and exploring lake Lugano by bus and boat. We tended to get Uber taxi’s back up to to hotel as it was a steep climb ( cost 18CHF) "

"Amazing place , staff is super well trained and friendly , hotel is perfectly maintained, room big enough and so nice .I travel a lot and this is the first time that i hv no comments at all , much better then famouse "big hotels chaine " in terms of .....all . Price wise is also amazing . "

"The location of this hotel is BEAUTIFUL, the views of the lake are stunning. The staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself can definitely use a few upgrades For 1 the Air conditioner is pretty terrible. It’s pretty much a fan, the room gets pretty warm during the day. At night it’s not terrible but the AC can use an upgrade for sure. Also the furniture and carpets/rugs need to be changed or cleaned thoroughly. Plenty of stains on the carpet and couches. "We loved our stay at the Hotel Spendide Royal! It’s absolutely gorgeous hotel and the feeling of being there is very special. The staff were all top notch and showed care and a commitment to making you feel comfortable and happy. The breakfast buffet was delicious with lots of variety and options. We will definitely come back and can’t recommend it enough."

"What a relaxing, wonderful stay. The team were so friendly and helpful. There are some lovely touches. One thing we missed was not having breakfast in a restaurant, here it’s lovely but room service each day. We will be back!"

"Fantastic! Rooms are beautiful, quiet, and with a wonderful view of the lake, if you are on the lake side of the hotel. Beautiful swimming pool and fun happy hour. All great! Highly recommend!"
