"We liked the location of the Avani. Rooftop bar and restaurants were quite good. Our two issues, although they appear insignificant, did matter. We requested a 2nd luggage rack for our suitcase, only to be told we had to “make one”? Bottom line, no luggage racks available. So if you are two people in one room, it is a bit awkward. As for our other issue, some concierge are more knowledgeable than others. Birt, was exceptional. "

"Location, location, location! Village Plaza still has the hostel feel it had 20 years ago. The staff are great - and most of the guests.
Some are a pain.
Smoking and drinking IN the pool, loud chatter in the corridors at 2am.
The hotel is not responsible for the behaviour of the guests, but they could send the odd member of staff around to check on areas every now and again. "

"Nuovo City Hotel is Superb.
Great staff, so helpful. Lovely property, rooftop pool and gym.
Area is great with many nice restaurants and rooftop cafes to eat at.
Location is to walk to key sights.
Only down side is 30 mins walk to nearest MRT but a new line is under construction so that will fix that in a couple of years. In the meantime, Grab!
Breakfast could be better as a little basic.
Other wise, excellent hotel. "
