"Hey everyone, we had a fantastic time in Salvo. I’m not here to compare real estate, but the house, although a bit dated and in need of a few minor fixes, was overall fantastic. The kitchen was well-equipped, the rooms were clean, and the hot tub was great. It was conveniently located between a couple of beach access points, making it an excellent value for the price. No complaints at all. I highly recommend checking this place out.Additionally, I spoke with the caretaker about the older reviews...

"Amazing sunsets and sound views from the back deck! The convince of the elevator for loading and unloading was a bonus since there are 3 floors. The house is beautiful and each room had its own bathroom which was great for our family which had 5 couples. The Beach access is a bit of a hike in the heat and not for individuals who can’t climb over sand dunes but there were plenty of beaches to drive to that had easier access. The pool more than made up for that and everyone really enjoyed it! The...

"We stayed for a week mid-May, family of 5. Property was as described and pictured. Classic beach/lake house vibe. Plenty of kitchen utensils and appliances. New towels. Great pool with plenty of loungers. There is a very short walk over thru the dunes to the beach, right behind the house, the beach is very quiet and clean, lots of wildlife, crabs, birds....We visited some other beaches further north and this one was much cleaner and much less crowded. Maybe one group of people every 300-400...

"This was our second stay and we had a wonderful week. The house is set up well for several families to have their own space and we love the location in Salvo. Also the walk through the dunes to the beach is not as rigorous as in other locations. The home is very comfortable but beginning to need a little tlc. I wish we had asked for the pool to be heated as it was a cool and windy week, so would recommend that if you travel there outside the summer months. We will definitley return!!!"

"We needed handicap accessibility and this was the perfect home for us. From the drive-up, to the open layout and spacious bathroom, it was so great for our family. You’ll need your own trash bags and dish washing detergent though. We loved sitting on the edge of the dock to watch the gorgeous sunsets on the Sound."

"It was our first gaming vaca since the kids and grandkids!! Ages from 11 mo to 60 yrs! Lots of amenities in the area. The house, pool, beach were all awesome! We were blessed with great weather! Rooms are kinda small, and bathrooms are small too. Kitchen was fully furnished with all our needs! Bring your own TP, paper towels, beach towels, and cooking spices. Owner is fabulous to communicate with! No issues at all. Neighbors can be a bit loud, but the house is fairly tight, and a white noise...

"Great place to stay! The house was clean and comfortable. The outside shower was nice for cleaning off sand after being at the beach. The owner responded quickly with any questions we had and was very nice. Just a few houses from the beach. The short walk was nice and easy to take chairs and toys to the beach. Located near many restaurants and short distance to wildlife refuges and lighthouses. "

"We loved our week at Outer Banks. Our extended family traveled together- ages 8 to 80. It was perfect! The beach was beautiful and felt private, as there were rarely more than 5 other families nearby. The swimming pool gave a great alternative to the waves for the kids and the hot tub was an amazing way to relax in the evenings! Had everything we needed in the kitchen and the elevator made the whole house accessible to my elderly parents. Internet signal wasn't strong, but it allowed us to...

"This cute room was perfect for a nights stay in Buxton. Lisa was friendly and accomodating, and provided just about everything you need to enjoy not only the night there but the morning after as well. I cannot recommend this place enough if you are a single person or a couple looking for a place to stay for the weekend."

"Best time ever!"

"Nice house very close to the beach south of nags head. We loved taking our coffee to the beach each morning. The house was clean, well taken care of and had most of what we needed. Don’t forget to bring your own towels! Shops and restaurants are 5 minutes away by car. Propert manager was very responsive and provided a lot of information about things to do, places to eat, etc."
