"Very cool hotel. Location was amazing to the subway. Incredible views. The room was a little dusty so not super clean. Didn’t have much interaction with the staff. The dining seemed really great but the service was not amazing. But it was new years and busy. The elevator situation took a while because only 2 were in function so took a long time to go up and down. Overall, cool hotel and we would stay here again. "

"We loved our stay. I was a bit skeptical when I saw the reviews about self check in and unhoused people hanging out front. First, there is always a person at the front desk. They check your ID and help you check in. There is a human connection. And the staff was SOOO friendly. Secondly, the front is a dedicated public space. "Friendly front desk. Coffee station a plus. Lovely roof deak. The $0 pet policy is a rare find, and the reason we'll be back! Our room however (#1224) had a tiny window facing a brick wall. Our reservation was for a Superior Room with City View. And even if it wasn't, all of Expedia's photos showed floor-ceiling windows. So that was deceptive on their part. For one night, it was fine, and we took in the lovely view from the roof. Would stay again. "

"The Arthouse was the perfect hotel for our trip. Close to many restaurants and cafes. 2 blocks from the 1 train which will take you directly downtown. Only 2 blocks from Central Park! "

"Staff was friendly. Check-in was easy. I arrived very early and was allowed to store my bags at no charge. Area was safe and quiet. Lots of dining and cafe options. Duane Reade is close. About a minute walk to grand central. Room was much bigger than I expected, not crowded at all. Very clean. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was updated/modern with lots of counter space. Very highly recommend, will stay again. "
