We recently stayed at the Holiday Inn Express New York - Manhattan West Side, and while there were some positive aspects, the experience overall left much to be desired.
Pros:
Location: The hotel is conveniently located near many attractions in Manhattan, making it easy to explore the city. This was definitely the highlight of my stay.
Breakfast: The hotel provides complimentary breakfast, which is always a nice perk. However, the quality of the breakfast was underwhelming, and I felt it could have been better in terms of variety and freshness.
Cons:
Safety Concerns: There were homeless individuals lingering outside the hotel, which made the area feel unsafe, especially at night. This detracted from the overall experience and made me feel uneasy during my stay.
Elevator Issues: The hotel has only one working elevator, which caused significant delays. Waiting 5-10 minutes every time to use the elevator was frustrating, especially during peak times.
While the location is great and the breakfast is a nice touch, the issues with safety, and elevator functionality made my stay less enjoyable. I would recommend this hotel only if location is your top priority and you're willing to overlook some inconveniences.
