"Overall everything was good, our only issue was after being there for a few days we noticed the toaster was full of crumbs, obviously not been emptied for quite some time, and the oven tray had not been cleaned after it had been used. We hadn’t met the owner, so decided it was easier just to clean them both before using them. On the hole, everything else was excellent. There was no recycling facilities, which was quite a surprise, and also a slight disappointment. Everything else was above...

Although the signage to the entrance is not easy to see, you can argue that it is discreet and in keeping with the property; the location on Google and Hotels.com was accurate too. Busy outside bar and indoor restaurant, obviously a favourite place with locals Good selection at breakfast, hot breakfast cooked on demand, which was excellent on Saturday and Sunday, less impressive on Monday. The bedroom was unbearably hot, the fan was unable to cope, but the hotel could not have mitigated this any more, as the room was in full sun all afternoon. "

"After a seven hour drive from Skye in wet and stormy conditions, it was wonderful to arrive at Lanehead Old School where Lisa had lit the log burner in the large and comfortable hall and made me feel immediately at ease. The sleeping quarters are very cosy, with a separate bathroom and living room containing everything you need for a relaxed stay, best of all a very comfortable bed. Next morning breakfast was sumptuous, cooked to perfection by Lisa who is a super host. L’oasis a special place...

"Medi, the chef, and his wife, Daniella, run the Inn and gave us both a warm, friendly welcome. The room was tidy and clean and we both had good night's sleeps even though the room was above the pub..I recommend Medi's Eggs Benedict which was fantastic and he also catered in the evening with great home made food - I had the best fish and chips I've had for many a year..I'd recommend the Sunday roast too which was awesome and over generous...and reasonably priced... Next time we're in the area...
