"Central location close to the Beacon, markets, restaurants and other food outlets, and pubs. Enclosed yard with tables and seating. Soft but comfortable bed. Quite tight bedroom and bathroom but OK. Great breakfast options. Just a little noisy into the early hours but England had just won at football!"

"Old, run down, noisy, small, cold 'cooked' breakfast. U have to pay £9 per day for 'clear air zone' (not the fault of the hotel, just a foolish swindle from local council which means we'll never come back to bristol again. Staff were nice. Good location, if youre not dri ing there."

"Very noisy with each room having fire doors that slammed all night behind guests going to and from their rooms. No soundproofing from within the hotel, so could here people passing in the hallway. Little sleep had.
There appeared to be what looked like cigarette ash in the shower, with the room also looking a bit dated and run down.
On the plus side, very nice staff."

"Hotel was fantastic. However breakfast was very mediocre at best and not worth the money - poorly cooked and not topped up. Seen more colour on a white wall than the sausages had. Also bar staff in the evening need to cheer up. Seemed like they was doing us a big favour by serving us…"

"Nice location and decent hotel.
Positives were the location and the breakfast was good.
Negatives lots of ongoing roadworks There was an extremely unpleasant smell in the corridors on floor 4. The superior room was very basic with saloon style doors on the bathroom which didnt give a great deal of privacy and when the light was on this lit up the room. Small dated television and very little storage in the room."

"We were given a disabled access room, despite me booking a standard double room. There for 2 nights a no housekeeping at all!

"Our room was large and well-appointed and very quiet. Staff were very helpful and friendly. The buses to Temple Meads stopped directly outside. There was a was a wide range of food available for breakfast. However, we would have liked some muesli and the various milk-based coffees were only luke-warm."
