"This was lovely hotel with great staff but no elevator which is why I gave it a 4 star rating. The staff were gracious in taking up suitcases and there was an “honesty” lounge on the second floor with drinks and food. One just wrote in a book what you used and paid on checkout. A beautiful breakfast was included. The room and bathroom were newly renovated v8 The location was very walkable to the train station and close to the stadium. "

"The location of the hotel was very nice and the staff were very helpful and friendly. However, the heating system was not functioning in the room whilst cold air was blowing always with a continuous noise even when it was off. Finding a parking spot was a pain, as there wasn’t enough parking spaces there, adding that it was too expensive per night!"

The two staff members we dealt with were unhelpful and dismissive, and they did not take the time to properly listen to either myself or my colleague. The interaction became uncomfortable, as their tone and approach came across as unnecessarily aggressive. I would expect a much higher level of professionalism."

"Great place to stay close to the city centre. Very helpful team and the rooms are very clean and tidy. Breakfast was amazing, great vegetarian breakfast. Definitely recommend and would stay again. Thank you."

"Schone en nette kamer, prima ontbijtbuffet, ligging dicht bij de haven en op 15- 20 minuten lopen van het centrum en indien ruimte voor 10 gbp parkeren op hun terrein. Minpunt was dat de incheck terminals het niet deden bij aankomst niet functioneerden (langere wachttijd) en de lift kapot was. We hoefden de parkeerkosten van het hotel daarom niet te betalen. "

"Check in was easy and the reception staff said let them know if I needed anything. I wanted green teabags and asked for them over 2 days about 4 times. Eventually, Georgia, the reception supervisor, put them in the room herself, so I had them for my last evening…… I’d asked for a walk-in shower but the water was lukewarm, and, although they said it had been fixed, it hadn’t, so two disappointing showers in 2 days! The room was clean but the floor was a bit gritty (I was barefoot as I don’t wear...

"The food in the restaurant was very good-nicely cooked. The room upgrade was very good too, with views over Bute Park. What was not so good was having to shower in the bath-no walk-in shower..very tricky for an 80 year old like myself..we had tried for a disabled room, but none were available for both the nights we were there. I think one should be warned about this-outdated and unexpected."

"It is an older property with its own charm. Location is close to shipping, restaurants, buys stops, train station, so very convenient. We asked for a quiet room and were given one on the top floor, end of the hall, so it was very quiet. Steps are narrow and steep, no elevator. Lots of exercise! Hotel staff was fabulous. St Fagans national museum of history and Caerphilly Castle are both worth visiting!"
