"Initially we were given a room on 2nd floor but my husband has mobility issues. However changing rooms wasn’t a problem. Room was spotless and comfortable. Breakfast was a feast. Great value for money. Although there was a large private party we weren’t disturbed by any noise. Ate from bar menu. Food excellent. Service good. "

"The room was clean and well presented. The staff were friendly and helpful. The cleaners did an excellent job making the room each day. The tea and coffee station was refilled every day. The only con would be the discomfort of the mattress, we could feel springs pressing into us and we found it uncomfortable. Other than this we were extremely impressed and would highly recommend the hotel and restaurant. We would stay again"

"Absolutely fabulous hotel. The lady at reception was lovely - friendly and helpful. We were able to store our bags when we arrived then went out for lunch. We were able to check in early which was great. All staff have been lovely - I would thoroughly recommend this place."

"The hotel is located in a striking, historical building and the location is great. Our room was also large, well lit and the ensuite bathroom was very nice. The hotel markets itself as a “luxury” hotel and has the makings of one. "Just an incredible time at the Norton House! Just an incredible comfortable bed with six pillows. Great breakfast, lunch dinner gourmet dinner available there on site and then to be able to walk the grounds and view the sheep go up by the woods and look down at the hotel. It was very nice. The spa facilities were top-notch. The receptionist were always available and friendly. I can’t say enough about the Norton."
