"The room was within walking distance from the bamboo forest and local restaurants. It was hard to find dining at night because some restaurants close early and you have to cross bridge to search for other restaurants. Too many gnats flying around. Gnats were also in the rooms. The staff were really nice and very helpful and patient."

"This hotel is truly like stepping into another world. The service is impeccable, the room we had was gorgeous and superbly clean. We were lucky enough to have a private onsen with very clean water at the perfect temperature on a lovely little lanai. All of the staff are very friendly and professional and the food is fantastic as well. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a touch of classic Japan in Kyoto!"

"It was a very traditional Japanese experience, the futon were incredibly comfy, the space was perfect for us 3, the staff was kind, and the area quiet and soothing. Just beware that the staff doesn't speak much English, so it is recommended to come prepared with some Japanese sentences"

"Hemos estado muy a gusto en el hotel. El personal nos hacía sentir como en casa. Nos ayudaban en todo momento si necesitábamos cualquier cosa. Mucho mejor de lo que esperábamos de un "love hotel". La única pega es que no está en Kyoto centro y la estación más cercana para llegar a Kyoto está a unos 20min andando (un paseo precioso, por cierto), pero nos dejaron unas bicis para todos los días de nuestra estancia! Además: desayuno a la habitación a la hora que quisieras, lavandería, pelis y series...

"As far as the staff and property and room is concerned, I give this place a 10+++. You cannot find better service and staff in all of Japan. However, the only complaint is for Americans. The breakfast is very Japanese and very limited. Also very crowded on the weekends. If you want to use the pool, you need to make an appointment for 60 minutes and the pool is always very crowded with families and children. "The Koubai suite was wonderful. The outdoor bath is very private and peaceful. The bed was extremely comfortable and the private garden was lovely. This is my favourite room in Japan so far!"
