"What a great ryokan! Excellent service, luxury traditional experience with unique matcha tea ceremony each day. All of the staff so friendly and really made the birthday holiday extra special. Evening meals and breakfasts were so big and luxurious with lots of courses in the traditional kaiseki form. They were very tasty and even accommodated my vegetarian request. They provided traditional outfits to wear too. Highly recommended all round, hope to be back again soon. "

"As far as the staff and property and room is concerned, I give this place a 10+++. You cannot find better service and staff in all of Japan. However, the only complaint is for Americans. The breakfast is very Japanese and very limited. Also very crowded on the weekends. If you want to use the pool, you need to make an appointment for 60 minutes and the pool is always very crowded with families and children.
