Pet friendly, single level ocean view house - Driftwood Heights

Driftwood Heights is a 2 Bedroom, 1.5 bath, 1024 square foot single level ocean view house that sleeps 4. Nestled among the windswept pines the last house on a private dead end street, you'll find beach access just 11 houses down the street. There is also a secret path for older children and agile adults that will get you to the miles of sandy beach to walk on. This is a perfect house for two couples.

This darling 1965 beach home found new owners this year and they've gone in and done some strategic wrinkle removing, giving this home a fantastic facelift. The house has received new paint, a renovated master bath, and some wonderful updated decor while keeping all it's charm and character.

The living room, dining room and kitchen are one large room with sweeping ocean views decorated with calming beachy colors, mixed with natural wood. The owners of this gem have done a marvelous job of updating, including an eclectic mix of comfortable overstuffed furniture mixed with vintage treasures. It has laminate wood floors throughout, so is perfect for kids and pets. The fully outfitted galley kitchen separates the dining and living room from the family room. Off of the living room, is the second King room. It has a solid wood accordion door to close it off from the living room. You'll also find an electric fireplace with adds to the night time ambiance.

The primary bedroom with a king bed is located off of the family room, and has an attached half bath. It has several large windows looking out on a forested view.

You'll find a laundry nook off of the main bathroom, which has a full size laundry center

The front deck beckons you to sit & relax with a glass of wine to wind down your day & there is also a back deck for your sunning & barbecuing pleasure that looks out on the forested view.. Enjoy a book in front of electric fireplace, spend time with your children in the yard or on the beach. We are sure that whatever you do, you will find a nice warm feeling when you return to Driftwood Heights after your days activities.

Great way to relax after work

I travel to Florence for work and have stayed in a number of vacation homes, and this was my favorite so far. Agree with previous guests that the ocean view is even better in person. And not photographed is the view from the back porch looking into the douglas tree forest that the home is tucked on the edge of. The house was cutely decorated, and I loved reading by the electric fireplace at night or sitting on the porch looking at the stars after work, or looking at the ocean in the morning before work while drinking my coffee. Theres a little trail that goes down to the beach and I enjoyed running there. I will be back!

Quiet with a perfect view.

The home was clean and welcoming. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds were comfortable with soft linens.We had superb weather for January, sunny and of course cold but the sun on the deck in the afternoons actually tanned us! The house is on the colder side in the front but it was January. Bring your flannels and you'll be fine.The owner, Leslie, is great and answered any questions we had. We will happily return.Thanks Leslie.

25th Wedding Anniversary

We had a wonderful time. The house was perfect, the view from the front large picture windows of the ocean were absolutely phenomenal. The house was well maintained and cozy. We would definitely return for another stay and possibly longer next time!!

Anniversary getaway

End of the road solitude

Despite the atmospheric river that cancelled our whale watching, we had a lovely time! House is at the end of the road and relatively secluded, which was nice! All the basics were there, clean, and well documented. It took us a little bit to figure out the electric fireplace, which there weren't notes for, but we did figure it out (use the switch at the upper right on the fireplace, not the remote).

Highly recommend!

This vacation home is exactly as described and more beautiful in person. We highly recommend this home. The views are breathtaking and only 11 houses away from the beach. We immensely enjoyed our 10 night stay.

This cottage was the perfect beach retreat in a busy wedding week… we spent several blissful days before the “ main event “… so much original charm yet nicely updated and impeccably clean and the proximity to the beach primo.. Leslie was a pleasure to work with.. Highly recommend!!

The listing is extremely accurate as are the photos. Very comfortable with a beautiful ocean view. Perfect for 2 couples or a family of 4. The videogame table was a nice addition (Space Invaders! Ms. PacMan!) I loved falling asleep to the sound of the ocean. We will stay again.

Really great house!

Such a cute house! It had everything we needed and it was so cute and clean! The beds were really comfy and the shower was nice and bright. The games and stereo and little bar was adorable. The location was nice and the view was pretty, just wish it wasn't so windy while we were there. Thank you for sharing your fun house!!

Fantastic stay!

What a wonderful stay! From the moment we walked in the door and saw the welcome note and bottle of wine, we knew it would awesome. We enjoyed spending time on the front deck listening to the waves crashing and the back deck listening to the birds. Well stocked kitchen to prepare meals at home, comfy bed and the electric fireplace was so nice and cozy on those cooler days too. Most of all a very short walk to the expansive beach that our dog loved. The property managers Whales Watch are excellent and quick to answer any questions. Wish we could have stayed longer. We'll be back for sure! Thanks again

Perfect location for enjoying the beach

We really enjoyed our stay here. The house is at the end of a dead-end. So it's very private and has it's own trail down to the beach. The only thing that I would mention is that some of the pictures on the listing are not up-to-date. This house has 2 king sized beds. We thought from the pics there would be a bunk bed in the second room. But it all worked out anyways. We just have 2 picky teens (boy & girl) who didn't want to share a bed. So one of them slept on the couch. But otherwise the house was perfect... well stocked with games and kitchen tools... and perfectly situated for enjoying the beach below.

A Perfect Hideaway

We loved this property. The location is ideal at the very end of a dead-end street. (We only had to deal with about one car per day who ignored the signs and came all the way down.) The view of the ocean is outstanding, and perhaps even better, because of the elevation, than being closer to the beach. The house is cozy, comfortably furnished, and clean. It included one the most complete sets of dinnerware and cookware we've ever encountered; we had everything we needed for the meals we prepared there. Beach access is close by, and it's a wonderful beach. As usual, some difficult walking through the loose sand, but once out to the packed sand, you can walk a long ways in either direction. This is definitely a property we would return to in the future.

Perfect Cozy Getaway

This place is fantastic for a few days away. Views of the Pacific from the front will feed your soul. Plenty to do at the beach, and Florence is so close. Feb is not ideal weather in the PNW, but all kinds of games to entertain indoors. Hope to stay longer next time, did not get enough Ms. Pac-Man time!
