"Room was a lovely size. Couldn’t fault the staff, they were very efficient , polite, friendly & helpful. Breakfasts were lovely and the meal we had in the pub, was very good, generous portions too. "

"It's such a lovely spot and the room was spacious, super clean and with a view out to the lovely surrounding area. The bed was also very comfy and the pillow too, and this from someone who is princess and the pea with her pillows! I also got a really great rate for my one night stay."

"We stayed here for 1 night whilst touring the peak district on our motorbikes. Plenty of parking and security cameras to ensure a good night's sleep. Our room was very comfortable and decorated to a high standard. The shower was big with great water pressure. We had an evening meal which we would rate as excellent, plenty of very friendly staff and a short wait for our food. Breakfast the next morning was plentiful and varied. We tried the Porky Hash which was huge! We would definitely...

"Close to the M1 and as we were visiting family it was in the right place and there was shopping nearby which was excellent. The hotel was easy to find and everything was excellent especially the staff who were very polite and helpful. When we visit again in the new year we will be staying here again."

"The staff were all friendly & helpful. The family room was large, clean & modern. The breakfast was good, though the dining room was packed due to a conference. This was our second stay here & we would stay again."

"This was our second trip to the lion at Belpur, and though we couldn’t have the bigger room this time, the room we had was still adequate for what we wanted. Always good friendly staff, who are more than willing to help. The pub is located in a good area, close to shops and high street, and the mills and gardens. Fantastic time which is why we returned. "

"I rarely take the opportunity to record my stays but this deserves the time. The communication in advance was clear and very helpful. However, the location after a business day is ideal and so many personal touches, including a welcome label on the door personal to you! Everything self contained and so comfortable, wanted to take the large mattress home! Iron 4 poster bed, kitchenette with coffee maker and milder frother for cappuccino! "We had a wonderful stay at The View. The room was lovely, very spacious and overlooked the rolling hills, plus it was quiet. The staff were very friendly and attentive and breakfast was delicious and all cooked and prepared to order. We had one evening meal at the pub itself which again, we couldn’t fault. There is so much to do around the area and we will definitely be going back. A true gem of a find!"

"Lea Hurst is a fantastic place to stay , Quiet and secluded. The house is beautifully restored and the room was superb good views over the countryside,, Jen was a superb host and made us feel welcome in her home. Excellent breakfast and the canal path only 5 minutes walk through the garden. Good location for visiting all of the Peak District. Would highly recommend and can’t wait to return "
