The staff was delightful and very helpful, overall this was a beautiful stay, very relaxing and the location is absolutely stunning. My friend even managed to spot a raccoon dog during our stay."

"We rented a traditional Japanese room which also included two single western beds and a small onsen on the porch. Felt like we were hidden in the trees with the best options for sleeping. The design of the room was efficient and thoughtful. Two meals per day are included and the buffet selection includes many Japanese food items which were well prepared. Western dishes are available as well. Japanese gowns are provided for wearing around the hotel along with many slipper options. Overall...

"Staff were very kind and informative. At check in, they sat me down & explained everything about the hotel. My room had the most incredible view of Hakone. The hotel was very clean. The bath house was very nice. There was also a neat little lounge room with records and such as well as a foot bath on the first floor. I did not take advantage of these things during my stay but still very nice features! The free breakfast was decent, mostly bread items. I don’t really have any complaints."

"Buffet breakfast had an abundance of options. Had buffet dinner which was also very good with multiple choices. Walking distance to Open Air Museum, with a few restaurants within walking distance. Bus easily accessible for areas farther from hotel. "
