Located in the historic art deco S&W Building in downtown Asheville, this one of a kind artistic 1,000 sq ft one bedroom one bath condo offers modern luxuries in a premier downtown location. Dedicated local owners are also the managers of this property, providing personalized touches and service to ensure your stay in Asheville is top notch. Exposed brick walls, high ceilings, and large windows invite plenty of natural sunlight into the living room. You will be delighted with the gourmet kitchen, fully equipped with modern stainless appliances. The kitchen opens directly into the living area (which includes a super comfy queen sleeper sofa featuring a memory foam mattress); enjoy your meals at the kitchen bar or at the large metal dining table (seats 4) made by the owner. The bedroom offers a king bed with quality linens, an extra-large closet with organizers and a wall-mounted flat screen TV. The connected bath features a walk-in shower (dual shower head) and granite double sinks. This condo is immaculately furnished with local art, high end furniture and eclectic accents.

The first floor of our building features the S & W Market which showcases the best of Asheville’s local independent restaurants and beer. Highland Brewing taproom anchors the two-story space with first floor and mezzanine-level bars. Other eateries at the S&W Market include Bun Intended (Thai street food), Buxton Chicken Palace (award winning fried chicken sandwich), Farm Dogs (handcrafted sausages and hot dogs, and locally-made pretzels), Mikasa Criolla (fusion of Peru cuisine), the Hop (locally made ice cream), and The Times Bar (a craft coffee and cocktail bar that sits adjacent to the food hall). The reimagined food hall fulfills the market’s original mission by offering affordable, fresh fare, and the energy that made it an exciting destination so many years ago.

Loft #306 is located on the third floor of the S & W Building (56 Patton Ave) and provides a secure, keyless, coded exterior entrance and elevator to make your move-in safe and easy. You can go for days without using your car which can be safely and affordably parked in the city-operated Coxe Avenue Garage directly behind the building on Sears Alley. Parking at the garage is $12 for 24 hours.

My husband and I loved the S&W building. The apartment was clean and quiet. The location was walkable. I would certainly stay in the same place again. I also appreciated helpful tips from the owners. I never would have found the back door without those pictures. Recommendations were also nice.

This was a well appointed unit in a great central location to downtown restaurants, shops, galleries. Karen was very kind to share this home and offer restaurant and music venue recommendations. Had a great time with trips to the Biltmore Estate, Blue Ridge Parkway, GSMNP, River Arts District. Would highly recommend this condo.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the S&W Building. The condo is in a perfect location—just steps away from great restaurants, a museum, and a breweries. It was stocked with everything we needed for our trip, and Karen’s attention to detail really stood out, right down to the thoughtful welcome sign.She also went above and beyond by sharing restaurant recommendations and even letting us know about a concert happening during our stay. We felt truly welcomed and well taken care of. I would definitely recommend this place to friends and family!

Everything you could want in a space with the ease of everything within walking distance. Host were on top of everything. The little touches such as fresh flowers and welcoming note were a kind surprise. We will be back!

Karen, was extremely responsive, kind, thoughtful & accommodating. We were traveling with my Mom who has mobility needs and we couldn't have asked for a better experience. She provided a bedside commode and shower bench which were very helpful in making the stay so much more comfortable. The condo is beautiful and was easy for my Mom to navigate with her walker &/or a wheelchair. Thank you Karen for helping to make our stay so special!!

Our stay at the S&W Cafeteria Condo was absolutely perfect! The location couldn't have been better, putting us right in the heart of everything we needed. From the moment we walked in, it was clear how much care and attention had been put into making the condo a welcoming and comfortable retreat. The space was beautifully appointed, with thoughtful touches that made all the difference—fresh roses in a vase on the table were an especially lovely surprise! It truly felt like a home away from home. Karen, our host, was exceptional. Her communication was fantastic from start to finish, ensuring we had everything we needed for a great stay. Her kindness and attentiveness made the entire experience seamless and enjoyable. We had such a wonderful time and can't recommend this condo enough. If you're looking for a place that's both cozy and convenient, with a host who goes above and beyond, this is it. A great time at a great place—thank you, Karen!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay in this stylish beautifully appointed Condo. The amenities and detail to care was top shelf. During our visit, the elevator developed a malfunction, but our host communicated with us about it and kept us up-to-date as it was being repaired.. This downtown condo is perfectly located to enjoy all the downtown as to offer. Can’t wait to go back.

Everything from the booking process to the check-in process to the follow up and check out process was wonderful. We stayed for 3 days and it was very convenient to all activities we wanted to do. The condo is equipped with all the amenities we needed and so much extra. Only thing we had an issue was the mattress on the bed was a little firmer than we would normally enjoy.

we tend to stay at private property rentals rather than hotels and have high standards. we absolutely LOVED nearly everything about this apartment, including any communication with karen. the only thing that brought the star rating down (which i hated doing): paper thin walls. even so, we would consider staying there again as it checked so many boxes. FABULOUS downtown location, ground floor food options, furnishings & decor, bedding, cozy chic factor, lighting options, soundproofing between floors (ironically). getting back to the wall issue, if you go in knowing it's there, it could help. you can actually hear every word from the neighbor and/or TV along one side of the apartment (living room/bathroom/bedroom). it normally stops by 11pm and begins again around 8am. aside from that, this is an ideal downtown asheville rental for a single person or couple.

After we found out one of our daughters wasn’t able to get off for Thanksgiving, the rest of us decided to go to her within a 24 hour notice! We own our own rental property on the coast, and I’m in the travel industry where I travel all around the world viewing luxury properties. That all to say, I have stayed in many places. I was so excited when I found this condo, in the middle of downtown Asheville, above the food hall, in a beautiful historic building. I would call this a boutique condo- exposed brick walls, very cozy, yet full renovated and so comfortable. The host responded to all of my questions immediately and went above and beyond to be sure I had everything I needed to cook and bake a full Thanksgiving meal for my family.the condo was in a safe location, and walking distance to all the great bars, restaurants and shops. I already told the host that we’d be back. We loved it! Thank you!
