"A lot of pros and cons with this place. Very upscale and the room was spacious and modern. The location is excellent. On the other hand, the room design was a bit odd. Bathroom not truly separate from the bed area (sliding thin panels) and there was street noise. A lot of non-guests frequent the hotel so it was busy but not in a good way. Services, like the cafe, were closed during our entire stay of four nights. Weird for a hotel at this price and expected caliber. I liked it okay but my wife...

There was only 1 staff at the check in table at 2pm. Staff told some patrons to sit and wait while new patrons stood in line. "The hotel is right across from Flinders station and about a 10 minute walk from Southern Cross, making it easy to access many places. There are plenty of restaurants in the area. I could easily walk to Hosier Lane and Chinatown. The Southbank Promenade on the Yarra River was about a 10 minute walk. My room was clean and had everything I needed for a wonderful stay. "
