"This is the perfect place to unwind in style and enjoy a bit of luxury on a budget. We loved the hot tub, gorgeous gardens, tennis court, and having fine dining on site was an unexpected bonus. Truly, you have to eat at the restaurant, it is next level. The staff are super friendly and even let my husband into our room hours before check in so he could work while he waited for me to arrive. We will be back!"

"This is a budget motel, so expectations should be adjusted accordingly. The room had the usual budget motel musty smell. The shower stall is small. But on the positive side, the room had a couch, a dining table, and the table settings needed to have breakfast in the room. The heater worked well, as did the available blankets."

The concierge was friendly, the room clean and spacious and the location was only a few minutes drive from the centre of Katoomba and other tourist attractions. The decor was dated and was on a noisy road (fine if the windows are closed as they are double glazed). "What a little gem Hill End Lodge was. We arrived late at night - cold and tired. John welcomed us warmly and Sue and Laura cooked up a storm for us. The place was warm and welcoming. Food and drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was just beautiful. Cabin was set in the most beautiful surroundings and cosy and comfortable. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return. Thanks all. "

The rooms were clean however they only were cleaned once on our 3 night stay. Room service was very slow and we ran out of toilet paper one day."
