Cactus Cabin is a small unit at the edge of south Alpine. This Unit is Perfect for two but could comfortably accommodate three people. The park, baseball field, and basketball court are walking distance from the property. You can relax on the sky gazing deck and watch the wildlife, sunset and stars with a glass of wine or warm coffee.

Very cozy spot - it was a great place to stay after a long day of visiting Big Bend. Was thankful to get out of the winter cold and find that the heater was already on and running upon arrival. Great view as well! Had some wildlife (deer) grazing right outside the window. Everything was clean, organized, and host directions were clear on how to connect to WiFi, etc.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! This was the worst stay ever!!!!!!! We walked in to an unclean room it was disgusting! Bed had been slept in dirty towels, everywhere bag of trash in the living room and the worst part was there was absolutely no communication with the hos, therefore we had to clean room ourselves! Cut our losses and headed back home….never again.

Overall, it’s a super cute place on the edge of Alpine! The bed is comfy, tv & coffee maker work. The water for our showers weren’t hot and it can be a little scary on the sky deck or outside after sunset because there’s no outside lighting.

The Cabin is really cute, our favorite part was the balcony. However the upkeep and cleanliness was very poor. There was a lot of hair in the floors, the couch was is stained and it looks dirty. The paper towels in the kitchen and toilet paper were almost out.

Shower and bathroom had mold, hair clogging up the drain, broken tiles with molded grout. Dog hair everywhere. Sky deck was wobbly which was concerning. Otherwise the location wasn’t too bad, saw some wildlife around the property. Host was fairly responsive.

Everything was perfect except for there was bedbugs in the headboard so we had to sleep on the pull out sofa. It was close to everything in town and very cute, plenty of amentities inside. The price was great but the bathroom looked like it needed a thorough mopping

Pretty terrible. This is what I get for trying to save money. Baseboards were disgusting, rug had stains, couches and chairs had stains, shower and shower door had hair and dirt. Sink was dirty. Pretty bad area that did not feel safe, and the stargazing deck did not look safe enough to go up. When I tried to talk to the owner and get a refund, I got no response. We ended up staying at Alpine Bed and Breakfast instead. Older reviews make it seem like this place used to be cleaner and nicer. I would not stay here unless they make some drastic changes and do a deep clean. Also, I got no refund or response to my concerns. Very disappointed.

Cactus Cabin is in need of a thorough deep cleaning, home is disgusting. Many stains on the couch, big stain on blue chair, I am not sure if unit was swept as dirt behind the door, when I took a shower last night the water was not draining so when I open up the long white drain cover it was disgusting, the reason the water was not draining is because hair was clogging the drain plus a bug, plus other nasty things just nasty. I don't think the shower doors have ever been cleaned and the dirt in the corner of the showers and the baseboards are disgusting, numerous cracks and broken tiles in the bathroom. Bath mat disgusting and stained.

Cute and cozy. Unassuming from the outside, but really cozy on the inside. Comfy bed! excellent AC. The deck was really awesome but couldn't use for long due to the winds.
