"This was a great stay. A beautiful heritage property. Felicia and her Paul were fantastic hosts. We stayed with our son his wife and their 22 month old toddler. They could not have made us more welcome. Felicia was very accommodating about breakfast and other things as our son was running the Cheshire held marathon. The breakfasts were all delicious. Highly recommend this as a place to stay."

"I booked a standard ensuite double room but upgraded to the Tudor Suite. I chose this hotel because it is hundreds of years old, which is something we don’t get to experience much in the USA! The hotel obviously has all the charm of such an old place and would be awesome for a romantic getaway (although I was traveling alone on this trip!). There is lots of parking, which is free. "The only issue we’ve experienced about our stay was the cleanliness issues. The whole place could do with a deep deep clean and small touch ups. I believe no matter how much money you pay, you should be able to stay in a clean environment. Apart from the cleanliness, our stay was great. The staff was great and helpful. Fridge was a fantastic bonus. We haven’t used other facilities like dining room etc but I know that was available. No safety on the windows, my son is 5 so he knew not to go near...

"This was one of the worst nights stay we had, even for £34 I don’t recommend staying here. Location wise, it wasn’t bad if you drive. Cleanliness was something to be desired. The place stunk, really fowl like sweaty socks. Beds were noisy as hell, doors very squeaky, paint coming off the wall, dirt on the walls, shower filthy, bathroom stunk, holes in the floor boards, the list goes on.
