"Our one-night stay was underwhelming from start to finish. Check-in took longer than expected due to the busy pub. Room 4 was tastefully decorated and had a lovely sea view, with Whitby Abbey visible in the distance, but it was a double bed. We paid an additional fee for our two dogs, but nothing was provided for them—no bowls, treats or beds. We always bring our own, but for an extra charge, we expected some kind of gesture. Unfortunately, several things in the room were not up to standard....

"Beautiful stay at the Haven Crest. Rooms were immaculate. The breakfast was 5* and served by a lovely friendly helpful lady. The premises is just outside the main town but a lovely walk along the coast to reach it, about 15 minutes. A lovely bar with fantastic views right next door. The Manager was was very accommodating. Would definitely recommend this B&B"

"Emma and Dave were so friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble . It was so good having a kettle and a fridge in the apartment. A microwave would have been good, but I am not sure where it would have gone. Parking was easy as there was permit parking on the road, and permits were available on request. The Whalebone Arch is just a 5 minutes walk to the front, and there's loads of things to do, including an open top tour bus running throughout the day. Plenty of places to eat and...

"We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings"
