"We had no running hot water other than the electric shower. No wardrobe just hangers on hooks. TV was the size of an iPad. Bottom bed sheet too small and forever coming off. Needs to be clearer when it states breakfast included but it is only cereal. Outside seating area not suitable as soiled with seagulls droppings"

"Room was totally fine. Bed was comfy. Given tea and coffee. I brought my own little lamp as the only light is the main one. Toilets and shower are external and pretty run of the mill. Nice selection of beers and ales in the pub. Breakfast was nice"

"Absolutely wonderful place we loved every minute!"

"Very nice apartment convenient for local attractions. Walking distance of Whalebone Arch. If, like me, you don’t have a var, it's within walkin distance of supermarket, local tourist bus which goes to all local attractions, including the Abbey. Be aware the loft appartment is up 3 flights of stairs, but once you reach it, it is very quaint and an ideal base. I was there when it was very strong winds and heavy rain, but the flat js very snug and warm so I was pleasantly surprised. Well stocked...

"Lovely warm and cosy cottage, fantastic location."

"The property is beautiful, absolutely spotlessly clean, very comfortable and lots of lovely added touches. Our only problem was hotels.com show it in the wrong location on their map. I booked it as it showed beside the station but it is actually not there, it is higher up the hill behind the town. All other listings seem to be correct so seems to be a hotels.com problem"

"The location of the cottage is excellent, right next to the river Esk and on a very quiet holiday park (in April anyway). There is an amazing viaduct over the river where there is bungy jumping every couple of weeks during the summer and you can walk over it into Whitby which is only 30 mins away on foot. The pool is NOT 24 hrs as advertised and you have to pay. The property can be a bit difficult to find because the name plaque of the plot is covered by an overgrown hydrangea. If you use what 3...

"Spotless apartment lovely location enjoyed every minute slept every night too enjoyed little gift pack that was left out for us no faults thankyou "

"We loved it, really central. "

"We had a lovely 3 night stay in the cottage. Very well equipped with anything you needed to make you comfortable. Clean and tidy and great location. X "

"We ended up staying one night of the three that we booked. This was primarily because the moment we arrived at the place we discovered the pets weren’t allowed anywhere beyond the ground floor and, if they were “well behaved” into the kitchen area. This accommodation can only be described as pet tolerant and not pet friendly."

"Perfectly positioned for working locally and easy walk into town"

"Great location, particularly if you like railways. "

"Lovely stay looking directly onto train track. Spacious and very clean. Quiet. Local to town and seafront. Private garage parking a bonus. "

"Wow, what an amazing place to stay in Whitby. Foxton Penthouse was central for us to have coastal walks and to walk into town. The apartment was very modern and had everything we needed to make our stay go well. Once in town you can cross the bridge and walk up the 199 steps to the Abbey. Or get the hop on hop off bus. The costumes of people dressed up in Gothic clothes added to our stay. "

"Nice and clean, nice garden, shop nearby, small park just up the road with play area and rest is dog friendly"
