"The location is excellent wit convenient connections to terminals and rail station Access to the hotel however is a big problem if you arrive late in the evening. After a flight that arrived at 11.15 pm I arrived at the hotel door just before midnight. The door was locked, no sign of any staff at reception Pushing the bell button multiple times had no effect. The possibility of entering through another entrance on ground floor involved a walk via railway station and walk around a traffic round...

"My only issue is that the rooms don’t have air conditioning. Bed was comfortable but the heat was very tough to handle during the hot weather."

"After finally being allocated a room, the room was stiflingly hot as this was the hottest May on record, and the in room AC did not work. As such we had to open the window later that evening when the outside temperature had dropped low enough, but were then unable to get any sleep as the hotel backs on to a railway station, and we had to listen to trains arriving and departing probably every 10 mins or so until about midnight. We were leaving the hotel at 3:30am and so had not sleep at all."

"We were very unimpressed with the state of the building. We were in a tiny room in the attic with a bathroom that had no air con or extraction or any window that would open. The main room had a single socket that was practicably useful but from which it was impossible to position a fan to point at the beds. The patio area outside had broken glass on it that they seemed oblivious to until we raised it. It was cleared up half an hour later. There was torn wallpaper in one of the corridors....

"We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They left a beautiful cake for my birthday! The breakfast was exceptional, nice view of the canal. The hotel smelt amazing and they had all the amenities you will need. I will definitely be staying again."

"The staff were very welcoming even when we arrived very late (23:50) somewhat wet and bedraggled after a horrendous drive in the rain up the M6. We were met with an understanding smile and given clear directions to our room. The room was clean and warm with a comfortable bed. The room overall was a little tired. We would be happy to stay again."

"Amazing break! Staff all friendly. Food in main restaurant was amazing and had a great massage at spa by Hannah. Spa was all lovely and clean and not overcrowded. The only thing was the relaxation room was not open after our massage as we chose the last session. The pastries at breakfast were not worth the calories as a bit stodgy. Other dishes were absolutely amazing. Thanks"

"The Staff were lovely. We were upgraded which was nice. We didn't use the facilities due to lack of time but it looked good. The rooms were a little dated and needed some TLC. The shower was very good. It is a drive or taxi ride into town as the pavements are not suitable for walking. The Breakfast provided choice and it was good. Again the staff were excellent which made it taste better."

"We had a very good stay here. The reception staff were very friendly. The room immaculately clean, bed and pillows very comfortable, a good night's sleep was had. I have only given 4 stars in some instances as we didn't have time to have breakfast or need any assistance so can't honestly rate those points. But we will definately stay again if possible in the future."
