"The host was a bit grumpy. Two bath towels provided for 8 days for two people. No bath soap, shampoo, which became a non-issue because even I, at 5'2", 105 pounds, didn't fit in the bagno, itself accessible by several sets of stairs. My husband at 6'3," 200 lbs, literally gave up and used the McDonald's bagno 20 min. away. It was well-located as a base of operations, with a beautiful view of the Umbrian countryside. No coffee pot. "

My train from Venice was delayed for an hour, which caused me to miss my connection in Florence and arrive two hours late. Even though I informed them about the situation and the trouble we were going through, they called me disrespectful, canceled my reservation as a “no-show,” and charged me a penalty — leaving me, my husband, and my son stranded in the middle of nowhere without a place...

"The apartment, just off of the Piazza della Repubblica and right on the edge of the oldest neighborhood of Orvieto, is beautiful and grand. Leonardo is a gracious and responsive host; the entire process of checking in and out was perfectly seamless. Feeling like Italian Nobility was a treat, except with all necessary modern conveniences. We would certainly return again and encourage others to experience this evocative home."

"The host was welcoming. It is a very clean, safe and conveniently located. The mattress could have been a bit more comfortable and 2 more pillows would have been appreciated. "Everything was as expected except the property was so much nicer than even the photos. Valentina is a wonderful host snd communicates well in English. We found the slightly out of town location very convenient. The Nero Gatto restsurant literal l y around the corner (1 mile) was a pleasant surprise. Wonderful menu and great service. Food was delicious. Highly recommend if you don't want to go all the way into Perugia."
