"Great location, lovely room. Like most places in Portugal, the location is slightly elevated (need to take either some stairs or a small hill) to reach the entrance. Wasn’t too bad but if you’re having trouble finding the hotel for the first time, remember to look up :)"

"This is one of the best hotels we've ever stayed in. The location is a reasonable distance from the busy city of Porto over the river, while still being very accessible on the Gaia side, near the port wine cellars. We booked a studio room overlooking the Douro River with a stunning balcony view of the Luís I Bridge that we had to see to believe. Some days we took a short walk along the river to the lower cable car station to take in amazing views on the ride to the top. The upper station is next...

We checked in mid afternoon and went off to explore Gaia and Porto. Easy walk to/over the St Luis bridge. Upon our return to the hotel our room had no power and it was the only room without power. "The room was very clean and the staff were all incredible! The views were more than I expected & pictures truly don’t do it justice. We were walked up and shown our room and the air conditioning was already on which was perfect as it was a very hot day outside. They have parking which is a bit hidden however the bell boy walked us through it and even met us there to bring out suitcases inside. HIGHLY recommended this hotel"
