It's not hard to see why George was so captivated by the intricate work lovingly carried out on this imaginative and elegantly restored property. Built in 1771 as a fish and net cellar, the building was later renovated into public conveniences before being rescued from its ramshackle state in 2015. The building has now been fully renovated into a truly luxurious pet-friendly two-bedroomed holiday hideaway, full of natural character and marine-inspired style, featuring truly unsurpassed sea views from the cliff top.
Great care and attention has been taken with the design and furnishing of every room to ensure perfect harmony with the beautiful coastal surroundings. Oh - and just in case you're wondering whether any remnants of the building's former history remain, hanging proudly above the downstairs bathroom are the original ‘ladies' and ‘gentlemen' signs...the Cornish born-and-bred owners just couldn't bring themselves to flush those away!
You'll find it extremely difficult to tear yourself away from this sea sanctuary, but if you decide to venture out and about, why not take your dog to Charlestown beach for a run, perhaps with some seal and dolphin-spotting along the way?
