Rooftop Deck with Ocean Views in Mission Bay

Summary:
This wonderful green vacation getaway is powered by its own roof mounted solar system which provides for all the energy demands of the property. This bright and airy studio is completely furnished with and includes mini-split AC and heat, wood floors, and a French door to your own patio area. For cooking we provide a microwave, coffee maker and grinder, toaster oven, full sized fridge, filtered water, dishwasher, and an induction hot plate. The bath has a walk in shower with dual shower heads.

The Space:
This is a guest suite that is part of a larger home. The suite is self-contained with a separate entrance and totally private. The outdoor area attached to your suite is the one pictured with the grill and table and chairs and is solely for your use. The rooftop patio/deck with the view is a shared space and is fantastic for taking in the sunset or SeaWorld fireworks. You are also welcome to check out the mini (2 hole) putting green in the back yard.

In addition to the kitchen items listed, we also provide a coffee-maker & grinder with fresh coffee and a milk frothing machine. The outdoor fridge is stocked with water, beer and soda.

If you are headed to the beach or bay, we also supply beach chairs, boogie boards, beach towels, an umbrella, as well as a cooler to keep your drinks cold.

With views of Mission Bay & south to Sea World & Point Loma. This is perfect for you to enjoy all the activities that make San Diego America's Finest City. Minutes to our beaches, Sea World, San Diego Zoo, Little Italy, Balboa Park, The Old Globe Theater, Petco Park, Coronado, La Jolla, fine dining and shopping. Easy access to the Del Mar Racetrack, Lego Land and San Diego Zoo Safari Park. If you are looking for the perfect location to be right in the mix of things without the hustle-bustle & noise - this is the ideal location.

The Neighborhood:
Bay Park is one of the most coveted neighborhood in San Diego because it is the most central area to all of San Diego, It is literally 10-15 minutes to just about anywhere in the city that you might want to visit (Zoo, beaches, Sea World, Gaslamp, Balboa Park, downtown/Midway,etc.).

Getting Around:
We always recommend a car to get around San Diego, but we are a just quick 5-10 minute walk to the Clairemont Dr. trolley station if you wish to use transit during your visit and Uber/Lyft are also very convenient in San Diego.

Other Things to Note:
For the safety and security of our guests, there are 4 cameras located on the outside of the building, one facing the driveway, 2 along the walkway, and 1 on the 3rd story deck. We do not permit smoking at this property. No pets allowed.

This cute little space was perfect for my husband and I. The outdoor space was amazing and we enjoyed the Sea World fireworks from the rooftop deck. The hostess was very kind and accommodating. The location is perfect in proximity to all kinds of activities that you could want to do with easy access the a main freeway.

San Diego Weekend Getaway

My wife and I had a lovely time, the room was very clean and well decorated. Communication was clear and responsive; we had a blast exploring the sites. It was nice to rest on a comfy bed after a long day of site seeing. We will definitely come again if we are ever in town!

San Diego visit

Clean, with all amenities. Murphy bed was the only adjustment space wise, but was comfortable and manageable. Kathy was very accommodating and easy to communicate with. Area is close enough to all the main sites to see in San Diego, and we found a jem of a restaurant just down the road..Luce…highly recommend!!!

Birthday and Anniversary Stay

Overall the stay was good. We had trouble opening the front door using the code. We were finally able to enter the property. They pictures advised there was a grill, but unfortunately they had torn it down to rebuild. Also the water in the shower could have been hotter. Cute Bungalow

This 1bedroom/ living room was cozy. The down side was that for us pulling down the Murphy Bed it was heavy. Also being older the very sift bed & our backs did not agree. Overall the location was great for us to get to Sea world, The Marine recruit base & to our children’s Vrbo They were very prompt with a few fixes to be addressed.

I was overwhelmed!

I have never stayed in a VRBO, or anything of the like. This location was paradise! The “suite” large area with a Murphy bed, so it looked even bigger than I anticipated! Laundry facilities in the bathroom, very large shower with two rain type faucets. Cathy was so accommodating, allowing us to check in at noon, as it was ready. Your on the round floor where the grill, basketball hoop, putting green, and the “big box” of day at the beach supplies! We actually used everything! Even toasted marshmallows! If you climb to the 3rd floor, you have a 360degree view of sunsets, the beach, the sea world fireworks every night …. The zoo, the beach, the USS Midway all within a 10 minute drive. Aaron, Cathy, I NEEDED those few days…. I WILL 100% come up with a reason to come stay again! Thank you for everything! Diana

Surprisingly Pleasing!

This is the "biggest" small property! Very comfortable, packed with everything you might need, excellent location - and the fridge is even stocked with some basics (and a few beers - thanks!). The bed is a pull-down (Murphy), but is also very comfortable. Parking in the designated slots can be tough, particularly if you have anything larger than a compact vehicle, but it is manageable. Highly recommended!

Pleasant surprise

Studio apt packed with delicious coffee, cooking supplies & spices, soda and beer. All the comforts of home plus outdoor bbq, games, beautiful plants, rooftop view of ocean and more. Wonderful hosts too!

Great location!

I had a nice stay at the property! Its close proximity to all the major spots in the city helped. The property owner is nice, however when I checked in the bathroom was not cleaned properly and there were dirty towels in the washer. The A/c also didn’t work properly. Not major inconveniences but something to make a note of. The owner responded quickly though.

No Privacy/Mold Smell

The positing states that the unit is private and guest has exclusive use of patio. This is NOT the case. I walked out of shower to find two people sitting outside the glass doors that lead to patio. They were there 2-3 additional times and one of those was them cooking and eating right in front of our door. I did not feel relaxed at all knowing that this was communal space 3 feet from bed. There was an overwhelming must/mold issue that I am now trying to get out of our clothes. I would have liked to open door but “guests” were on patio. If you don’t mind communal living, the space is adorable. But please know that there is ZERO privacy.

Little less surveillance preferred

Plenty of outdoor lights, but no blackout drapes when it’s time for sleep, and apparently nobody knows how to turn the lights off. Why does mattress need a 4” foam top? AC is old and inadequate. We booked 4 nights, but decided we wanted someplace else after 3 nights - somehow the owner knew we were checking out after the 3rd night before I sent the text letting them know. “I thought you guys were checking out a day early anyway”. Um, how could you know that when my wife and I discussed it in private a few minutes ago? (Eavesdropping?). If you’re smart you’ll park along the street around the corner and forego the too tight space primed to ding your car. But the place is nice enough and in a convenient location. If I had it to do again I’d have balked at the price.

Great location, minutes from the freeway, Trolley stop, Mission Beach and Downtown. Everything inside the unit was as described, the rooftop deck had a great view of Sea World and the bay, but the furniture cushions have seen better days.

Almost fantastic

Great location. Easy freeway access. Bidet seat on toilet Air-conditioned Great patio area. With refrigerator and BBQ grill. I would like to see the grill cleaned. Great ventilation . Good walk-in shower . Large refrigerator. Good Kerig coffee maker The entire kitchen area is clean and adequate. The housekeeper did a very good job. Great viewing platform on top but need to be clean and remove all the spider webs. Bed was very comfortable. Well equipped kitchen. Most dinner ware is miss matched but it all works. The room always had a wet odor, I suspect the split air-conditioning system needs to be cleaned. It drips water on the floor indicating a blocked drain. The dog owned by the manager is allowed to crap on the artificial turf close to the patio table and no one would clean it up until I complained. This happened 4 times during our stay. The dog crap draws flies. Parking is very tight with the owners taking two of the three small spaces with large cars. The TV is impossible to figure out how to work. A complete lack of instructions. The blinds don't block out enough of the outside lighting. Hot water would sometimes not get hot. After waiting 10 minutes and then trying again it would be hot.
