"Stayed here for a week with the the whole family (two kids under 10 and five adults). The house was exactly what we expected and great for our trip. We especially loved the location just down the street from the beach and sound. We made most of our own meals while staying, utilizing both the kitchen and the Blackstone (though my husband notes the attached side pieces on the grill get hot so he needed a side table for plates). The house was absolutely adorable and very comfortable. We also loved how close it was to the beach - just a short 7-min walk! The fact that the bech felt so private was a real bonus. "

"Overall we had a great stay. The house is older and has weathered some storms but is fairly nice and served us well. Be prepared for lots of steps, which I'm sure is the case in any large beach house. We had 2 toddlers under 2 so it was a challenge to keep them off the steps. The gate from the top deck to the outside stairs desperately need to be replaced and some of the older deck furniture needs to be replaced but overall things were in pretty good shape. "This is a great property for those looking for an OBX property that isn’t ginormous. Definitely an updated older beach home, with nice updated decor. Under-house entertaining and game room were nice features. Host is highly attentive. The property is next to a somewhat busy road on one side, but that also allowed for easy access to walking trails. Beach was a very short walk and didn’t involve crossing any roads. We had a great time. "

"Great home, owner answered questions and replied to me quickly, description of the house was as expected. Very clean home. Didn't utilize the lower half or the hot tub as we were only there overnight. Would stay here agian. "

"Wonderful beach charm cottage. Very relaxing. Well stocked. Nice TP and Paper towels provided along with dish soap, a new kitchen sponge. Shampoo, body wash and hair conditioner were supplied too. The location is VG. Pride of ownership shows. A little tough on doggie paws due to sand burrs, and thorns in nearby growing vines. But, that’s the nature of beach vegetation."

"Overall the property was very clean. We were able to easily walk to the beach, restaurants, bars and grocery store, which made the location ideal. We really appreciated the beach gear and used it daily. As the description mentions, the rooms are very small with no closets. We used one of the bedrooms to store clothing/luggage. We spent most of our time outdoors so space was only in issue at night. "

"Stayed here because of the location and because we wanted something with some character, not the flipper remodel millennial gray. Property was exactly as advertised and in a fantastic location for what we wanted to do. Quick walk to the beach, right next to the Wright Brothers park, amazing restaurants within a short drive. Could not have asked for a better place for my first trip to OBX and look forward to returning. "

"Easy walk to the beach. Close to everything in town but the neighborhood is calm with little traffic and noise. My family would stay at this location again."
