"No safe in the room. At checkin, four counters, only two manned, big queue. A management type arrived, looked at the queue and went away again. He did not call for extra staff."

"For the price the accommodation reasonable. I would not book there again. Booking in was very slow as there was not enough staff. Information was ok but not good because of business at the desk. We were required to carry our heavy bags upstairs to the second level ( we are aged persons). Our only room service dinner was very poor ( overcooked). The breakfast area was not managed well. I have learnt if you pay cheap then you get poorer quality living."

"On the info it said "Park in front..." we had to park behind our rooms. It would have been easier if there was a second step leading into the room off the footpath. Good to have a games room, but not much variety of games. Our boys lost a coin in one (Table Ice Hockey) as it didn't work and couldn't find the table tennis balls. "My whaanau enjoyed their stay here as the staff were extra accommodating to check in early for the Warriors game. The facilities were on point and the beds were very comfortable. Highly recommend staying here for a stress free time, close to the airport."

"Wow!! Our stay at the Sofitel exceeded expectations! We have stayed at quite a few different ones around NZ and we have to say that the Sofitel is in a league of its own! The staff were amazing and couldn’t help us enough. We were only there for one night but we didn’t want to leave - we will be back. Absolutely worth it. Close to lampton quay too so very central."
