"Spacious double room (the most basic of rooms available), nicely presented, and plenty of storage space. Nice bathroom with walk in shower. Buffet breakfast one of the best I've experienced, plenty of choice including some cooked items. Great rooftop pool/bar and space to sit and enjoy the sun. Lots of different areas available to either sit and drink/eat, or merely just lie back and relax. Would not hesitate to stay here again."

"I have been staying at Hotel 1898 for over 15 years and even chose it for my honeymoon, so it genuinely saddens me to write this review. It has always been my first choice whenever I visit Barcelona. Unfortunately, over my last two stays I have been checked in by the same member of staff, who on both occasions came across as unfriendly and rude. "バスタフありの部屋を予約していたつもりでしたが、着いてみたらバスタブ無しで内庭に面していて外が全く見えない部屋でがっかりでした…。その後一晩あたり20ユーロを追加したものの、別の部屋へ移動させていただくことができました。アップグレードとなった訳ですが、新しい部屋にはバスタブは勿論ウォシュレットもあって外も見えて最高。食事は朝から外でいただきましたが、近くには美味しいパン屋さんも多く全く困ることもありませんでした。とにかく素敵なホテルでまた来ることがあればこちらに再度お世話になりたいと思いました！ありがとうございました。"

"Really nice area! The restaurant downstairs next to it called Fismuler.. Oh my goodness!!! Can say it was in my top 3 places to eat in Barcelona!! Hotel staff were nice and helpful. We got in earlier than our check in time but they held our luggage in a locker for us so we can explore city while we wait for our room. They cleaned our room every day. The lounge area and pool was nice to hangout after a day out in the city. Really recommend it for couples!"

"This hotel is located close to Metro station and within a short distance to major attractions and restaurants. Reception staff are very friendly. Not super luxurious but we enjoyed our stay."
