"The reception staff were so welcoming, especially Jen who welcomed us like old friends. So chatty and lovely and a such a great start to our trip. Hotel and room was clean and looked great and just what we needed. Rooms were nice and warm during this cold weather however the hallways were a bit chilly! "Warm, welcoming staff who go out of their way to correct any and all concerns Very cute rooms, warm and cozy, nicely decorated. Clean, modern bathrooms. Great neighborhood, easy walk to the city center, easy for Uber rides, and some phenomenal restaurants only steps away: Chinese noodle soups, coffee/bakeries, and the Rose and Crown tavern, which has the best meat pies, Sunday roast and sticky toffee pudding ive had yet in England. Highly recommend this hotel."

"Very lovely welcome to a historic and plush, cosy stay at Jorvik House for a post Christmas getaway. Everything fantastic, only mimor gripes that Yorks parking might be a tad cheaper, perhaps there are cheaper ones than the conveniently located Marygate car park a stones throw away."

"A truly wonderful stay over the festive period. The new spa is lovely and room 452 was SO quiet and spacious, highly recommended. The only downside which I pointed out two years ago is that the shower lets the room down as it’s not powerful enough and looks dated too. A short taxi ride or lovely walk into the centre with everything you could wish for. Please note valet parking is £39.50 and the Soa £45 per person in addition to the room. I thought this was a very thoughtful and nice thing to ask. The bar area was airy and well laid out and the drinks were reasonably priced."
