"Had a good 2 night stay at The Pavilion.
Lovely character manor house kind of property.
All staff (even though quite young) were friendly and efficient.
Good location as could hop on a bus into the city.
Parking (payable) at the hotel or park on street free if any spare spaces.
Rooms were ok/fine, had to move from 1st one as towel rail and also toilet roll holder were both hanging off the walls.
They upgraded us for free to king room. This was a good size although carpet showing slight signs...

"Room was lovely and comfy. Very clean wth en-suite, shower with amenities, towels body/shower gel, conditioner, hand cream and soap. Comfy double bed, the room had a coffee machine, kettle, fan and hairdryer. 32 inch TV suitable for room size. Complimentary breakfast more of a continental style but not fully. Teas, coffees, cereals, fruit, small selection of juices and toaster and microwave. Host was on hand to make hot drinks and toast, very hospitable and friendly. Guest are welcome to help...

Whole standard of the place was top class. Just a few minor points to note & could be improved - bedroom window could not be opened to let in fresh air & badly needed dusting. Not enough electrical sockets & could have been better positioned close to mirror for make up, hair etc. Other than that, it was a beautiful atmospheric and classy hotel and full of character. "

Sealant hanging off and mouldy at base of shower. Poor maintenance regards filling of holes on the desk. The fridge had been removed from its housing and left on the floor. "Such a wonderful overnight stay, the reception staff were welcoming upon arrival, our room was perfect and had a fanatstic view. The golfing staff were really friendly and helpful. The food in Tykes for the evening meal was amazing, the best pork I've ever had! Breakfast was lovely, a perfect place to stay, we will be back! "
