"The house was very comfortable. We only had 5 people, but we could have easily brought a few friends. The neighborhood was quiet- we enjoyed walking our dogs and going for runs. The porches were lovely for playing cards and chess. A quick ride into town for restaurants and to the dock for boat rental. John was very responsive. We highly recommend."

"We spent two different nights in this lovely home, as it was half way point for our drive to and back from our Florida family vacation. This home is cozy and we all loved it. This house is a mix of old and new, with a touch of antiques and modern amenities. My only wish is that we would have been able to stay more than just over night each time we stayed so, we could have explored the area more. Overall GREAT place to stay!!"

"Nice property. Plenty of room, very inviting space. Host was very responsive to the questions I had prior and during our stay. Beautiful area and would highly recommend you bring or rent a boat during your stay. The steps from the water/dock back up to the house are visually overwhelming but built very sturdy and safe with plenty of landings to stop and admire the surroundings."

"Such an amazing property the photos don’t even do it justice. The house was impeccably clean. So close to the lake with our own private dock. We enjoyed hiking at Tims Ford State Park, gorgeous trailheads behind the nature center, only a 20 minute drive away. We also kayaked, canoed, and swam in the pool and hot tub. The back porch is huge. We will definitely be back!"

"My family and I have stayed 3 times at the lake house over the past 2 years. The home is consistently clean. The host is quick to respond and very accommodating! One of our favorite things about The Hickory Hideaway is the open floor plan, wonderful lake view, and well stocked kitchen. We plan to return!"
