"Excellent, the perfect stay."

"really nice room. Received notice before we arrived that the room we booked would have been noisy. Staff accommodated our wishes and glad they did as room was great in the boutique hotel but the main hotel was REALLY loud and packed. So busy we decided not to eat there as too loud and busy, Other than that the rest of the hotel was excellent"

"This is the fourth time I have stayed at the Royal. As a solo traveller (on this occasion), I felt very safe and comfortable in the hotel and local area and all of the staff members I encountered were pleasant and helpful. I was allocated an accessible room (not requested) which was spacious and clean with a large wet room style bathroom. The water pooled on the floor following a shower but it was carefully dried by cleaning staff members on a daily basis and towels were in plentiful...

"The staff are so wonderful. The location was perfect. Beach was right across the street and near many restaurants, shops, and pubs. We love the views! Thank you for a great stay."

"The hostel is cosy and social. It’s not a party hostel, but people do socialise in the kitchen. The beds are the drawback here - they are rickety and every time someone moves in their bed, you can hear the springs. Also my bed moved every time the guy in the top bunk rolled around. I’m 193cm and couldn’t stretch out in the bed. Difficult to sleep. If you value your sleep, find another place. "

"Very basic could do with a lick of paint in many places. Mattresses and pillows old and tired . Beautiful parquet floor in our room though. Key system malfunction was a bit of a problem for some folk while we were there"

"Great position, easy walking to shops, cafe, train. No onsite parking so if you require it check in and drop bags off first and then park your car. Room very cosy and beds comfy."
