"We were very unimpressed with the state of the building. We were in a tiny room in the attic with a bathroom that had no air con or extraction or any window that would open. The main room had a single socket that was practicably useful but from which it was impossible to position a fan to point at the beds. The patio area outside had broken glass on it that they seemed oblivious to until we raised it. It was cleared up half an hour later. There was torn wallpaper in one of the corridors....

"This is a great hotel for a travelling stop over. Super rooms, staff and restaurant. Pool and saunas very nice. Easy and safe parking for cars and motorcycles."

"The swimming pool is out of order at the moment. was not notified of this when booking only a couple of days before I arrived. I was allocated room 56. Make sure you don’t get this room unless there is a heatwave. It was so cold that I had to ask to be moved during the night. The radiator does not appear to work in the room. I stayed for 3 nights, two of which had road closures outside the hotel . On the Sunday the road was closed from 7 am to 1 pm so could not leave unless you walked - and...

"Nice hotel everything needed for a comfortable stay, room was fine, slightly outdated but spacious & very clean which is the main thing. Bar area is good, happy and efficient staff. Car park facing the hotel albeit £12 to self park but for a City centre hotel that’s the way it is nowadays. Easy walk 5-10 walk into heart of Chester, however lots of restaurants, cafes & pubs within 2mins from hotel on Brook street."

"Nice hotel with large rooms and very stylish. Fab conversion of an old dock warehouse. Decent breakfast for a reasonable price (though I’d rather they didn’t describe it as free when they mean included in the price paid). Good bar, terrace and public areas. Spa access limited for guests and extra (high) cost and no pool without it. Parking reasonable."

"Friendly, professional and caring management. Traveling with my handicapped father and the management team was compassionate and very supportive. A+++ experience. I recommend the hotel for those with handicapped family who wish to enjoy a respectful and caring experience."

"We had the most wonderful stay. The staff were so helpful and friendly. They left a beautiful cake for my birthday! The breakfast was exceptional, nice view of the canal. The hotel smelt amazing and they had all the amenities you will need. I will definitely be staying again."

"Its a fantastic property with clean, spacious bedrooms. Coffee (Cappuccino, Latte) and tea in the dining room/kitchen area is available all the time, along with normal room facilities. An excellent facilities throughout."
