"The property was of a basic nature and very tired in places. The bathroom paint was peeling off the walls. The bed was a small queen bed that wasn't big enough for 2 adults to get a good night sleep. The mattress was very thin and uncomfortable. Due to this we left the property early and had to book a hotel. I also tried to contact the property as advised by Sykes cottages, but my calls were unanswered and not returned. Overall a disappointing stay. There are plenty of better rentals available."

"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. We were just a couple that stayed for a week whilst building work was completed on our house and found it competitively priced so if you are a group of 4 then it would represent even better value. I'd imagine that the garden would be good to relax in come the summer months. If you intend to work over the wifi as we did, I...

"Great place to stay and would do so again. Clean, safe, secured outdoor parking, friendly staff. Short walk to the city walls and tourist attractions. The meals at the restaurant downstairs were average and my fish & chips tasted very fishy/not pleasant and the chips were soggy & greasy. The worst meal I had in the 3 weeks of travels."

"Great hotel. Had a nice upgrade. The room had a comfy bed and was very clean. There was an ac unit in the bedroom which helped cool the room down. The only thing was the shower pressure was very low and cut out a couple of times. "

"Overall I loved this hotel and most of the staff were amazing, particularly the doormen and breakfast staff. However, the reception staff could definitely have been friendlier, more welcoming and less robotic on arrival. "

"Lovely and clean , easy to find , car parking was easy enough after Hayley showed us the way around the back, room was so comfy, we had a separate bathroom , so husband got confused and got a little lost, but easy sorted. Breakfast you were spoilt for choice absolutely amazing. Thank you Hayley for sorting the single to a double bedroom without hassle . Definitely would recommend. "

"From the moment we checked in staff were exceptional, friendly and welcoming. The room was excellent. Everything you needed and so comfortable with brilliantly thought out decor. We ate in restaurant for an evening meal and a breakfast and again brilliant. Weather was wonderful so we made great use of outside floating beer garden. We liked it so much we are going to re-book for Christmas time. One last thing, the wallpaper in Ladies is brilliant"
