"Off the main road which was good. We thought it was a nice, pleasant place to stay within a short drive of Chester. I would recommend this place to friends visiting the area. We were just a couple that stayed for a week whilst building work was completed on our house and found it competitively priced so if you are a group of 4 then it would represent even better value. "The breakfast was superb, everything you could wish for…from toast and croissants and doughnuts to a full cooked breakfast.
Our room was fantastic with a view of the mill from bedroom window, bathroom was great for me being disabled, being able to walk in to a wet room was a huge bonus, not available at most hotels."

"I have stayed at The Pied Bull twice in the last year when visiting from the US. I stayed in 2 different rooms, a twin and then a double, both in the main building. Both rooms were clean and comfortable. The pros are location, being convenient to everything that Chester has to offer including sightseeing, shops and places to eat. The price is also reasonable for being in the city center. The cons are no parking on site, although there are many options within a 10 minute walk from the property....

"Exceptional staff. Every person i spoke to was helpful and very friendly. Building was a bit tired so some areas of cracked tile and mold staining in the pool area. Room smelt of wet dog and there were clothes moths."

"The room was spacious, large beds, ensuites and a lovely big living space. The lighting was a bit dim, more lamps would be good. Small things didnt work well, ie, no bedside lights, front door wouldnt lock (except for the yale), a bulb was out, we scouldnt get the phone to reception to work and wifi didnt work either. Some of the blinds need fixing too.
However, lovely linen, comfy beds, great location and quiet. "

"The host greeted us on arrival and was very welcoming and friendly; assuring us that if we needed anything further to let her know.
It was very well equipped: fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster, not forgetting a jug of fresh milk.

"Such a lovely stay the front of house staff were absolutely amazing couldn’t do enough for you. The room was immaculate so clean and spotless and the room very modern with coffee with fresh milk and water. Bathroom spacious with a bath and a huge rainforest shower. "

"We had a nice 4 night stay here. It’s a lovely motel. The breakfasts are delicious and a big plus! The complimentary waters, tea, hot chocolate and cookies are also nice. A mini fridge would be a nice addition. The bathroom is big with a very comfortable shower. It’s a little further from the town center (an easy walk) but the river area is very peaceful. All of the staff were wonderful! "
