This historic hotel is beautiful as many features date from the 1920's - the bedrooms/bathrooms are modern. The hotel is opposite Flinders Street Station and so easy access to Melbourne. Good breakfast and a professional staff. I will stay at this hotel again.

Nice place to stay if you love the cbd and the surrounding things to do within the cbd. I walked pretty much everywhere (outskirts as well) and the city is just a wonderful things to experience from outside (not in a car). The location of hotel is great because the tram is literally right across the street while travel supplies (toiletries) is found in a store about a block away (less than a 10 minute walk). Bars and restaurants are close by too.

I thought this was a great stay at a relatively low price, and it even included a tasty buffet breakfast. The room wasn't huge, but it was sparkling clean and very comfortable. Would 100 percent stay here again.

I loved wandering around the property and read all about the history and life of the building since it was built well over 100 years ago. The plaques located around the hotel are a lovely reminder of what the building has been through in its lifetime, and how times have changed giving a little glimpse into the past. Buffet breakfast was great, didn’t get a chance to spend time at the bar but it was a great stay, likely will stay again

It’s nice, great location, beautiful building! Just a little run down! Aircon in rooms is very loud , elevators were a tad sketchy and the bath tub shower combo is very narrow! Almost slipped a few times hence why they supply a non slip mat. But other than that it’s a nice place to stay.

For a single person staying the room was large enough but for a couple it will be tighter. The lighting was excellent, the bed was very comfortable and everything worked well at all times. The hotel itself has a brilliant location and gorgeous, full of jarrah and exquisite ceiling s. I didn't eat there but it served my purpose very well

Excellent location Stay here for convenience and value for money. Good breakfast and they will keep your bags for you as you walk around. Few things needing maintained in the room or cleaned to make it go from a 3 star to 4.5. showerhead kept flying off the wall, parts were broken. Mouldy shower seals. Taped light. Scuffs all over the wall. Didn't have spare items in the bathroom and vanity needed a wipe over. Bits of rubbish all over the hallway floor.
