"Definitely did not feel like a 5 star hotel as listed… don’t even include still bottled water etc. Front desk staff not very friendly. Room was clean but definitely feel like they skimped on some of the amenities. Room was listed to have record player and didn’t, only received after calling and asking. Rooftop bar was closed for a private event so I didn’t even get to check that out. Vip drink ticket was only given to me after I asked. "

"Bedroom had a particularly offensive smell that would not air out; I noticed later the carpet by the bathroom was coming off the flooring and I am wondering if there was some sort of sewage leak. I did notice staining mixed into the carpet design in the main room as well. Location is good, walking distance to most things you’d need. Golosa in the lobby is fantastic."

"It was my first visit to The Porter House and I was generally happy with my stay. I had asked for a room on a higher floor and away from the elevator, which they were able to accommodate. "There had been a leak in the hallway just before our room and the carpet was wet. On the Monday night the dryer was on till 10.30, 11pm and it was so loud. We had a baby in the room so the next night I asked if it could be turned off and I got someone come and tell me it had to be left on. At least he came back and turned it off at the end of his shift as he promised. For two adults and a baby we had four towels, when we asked housekeeping for more they said we could only get one, I had to go...

"Check-in process was a nightmare, female staff was horrible, I usually give the benefit of the doubt esp to those in service however this lady was mean and very unhelpful. Another instance when I arrived after a certain time the sliding doors were closed and had to knock which there was 2 staff behind the desk, they both glanced up and looked back to their computer screens, I knocked again and they still didnt move, after a few seconds later one of them came and opened the door.
