Cozy California Bungalow by the Beach - Great for Southern California Stay

Enjoy our historic California Bungalow with all the comforts of home in a friendly neighborhood. Centrally located, it is a great place to see all of your Southern California favorites.

Our warm and welcoming home is a great home-base for your travels in Southern California. Whether your journeys take you to industry events, beaches, amusement parks, hiking trails, museums, or gastronomic adventures, you are in the center of it while still living in a lovely home in a residential neighborhood.

Our 2 bedroom, 2 bath home is a lovely California Craftsman Bungalow in a historic neighborhood. We have named our home, "Neshuun", the local first people's name for my heart, which is indicative of our home. Our warm and friendly home is classic 1920's through and through, with the added benefits of updated electrical and plumbing (including bidet toilets).

The main bedroom, in the back of the house, has a new luxury queen size bed. The guest bedroom doubles as an office and TV room, depending on your needs. For more guests, the custom built sofa coverts to a double (full size) bed with an upgraded mattress that is comfortable enough for our mother. Our TV has upgraded cable, Netflix, HBO, BritBox, Amazon Prime, PBS, Pluto, Roku, and more.

The living room has wide variety of books to read during your stay with a large comfortable sofa. The dining room comfortably seats 6 people.

Ceiling fans in the living room and bedrooms keep you cool in the summer months while central heating keeps you warm during our temperate winters.

The kitchen is stocked with everything that you need from a great cup of coffee / tea to the tools to make a full meal for the whole family. The kitchen is fully stocked with all of the basics (utensils, plates, glasses, pots and pans, kettle, coffee press, spices, oils, etc.). And you are welcome to anything in the refrigerator.

The 2nd bathroom is located out back, making dining and lounging outside more convenient. It also has a washer/dryer that are available to you during your stay.

Guests have exclusive access to the entire house, front and back yards, including the deck and outdoor dining area.

We have a lovely backyard with mature bamboo screen that provides a calming atmosphere as well as providing privacy. There is a big deck for dining, hanging out, and looking at the stars. In addition there are other nooks including a covered day bed (will a full-size memory foam bed) to lounge in and a fire pit that can be enjoyed in the winter months to keep you toasty on a cool night.

Just off of the deck there is a raised bed garden with herbs and vegetables. There are also a few fruit trees including key limes, palmettos, and bitter oranges. When they are in season, please feel free to take what you would like to eat.

Around the corner is the Craftsman Village Park, a quaint pocket park. Long Beach is the perfect location for your Southern California adventure. This home is centrally located near the the 405 and 605 freeways. Walking distance to all grocery stores & restaurants. The house is convenient and well kept, 25 minutes from LAX, easily get to the Queen Mary and the Aquarium of the Pacific or Dignity Sports Park. You can reach Downtown LA, SoFi Stadium, Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm with a 30-minute drive.

Please remember that this is our home, not a hotel. We ask that you treat it with respect and care. This means that we ask that you do not have events or parties at our home. Smoking is not allowed in the home, but you are fee to smoke on the deck or on the benches with ashtrays for your use.

We are sorry, but our home is not able to accommodate pets or children. We have a collection of unique minerals, gems, and archeological specimens that we have collected over the years that can be found throughout the house. It would be much too easy for them to fall, choke on or break.
