Get away in this secluded custom log cabin staying up on the mountain while visiting the lake as you and your party slip into a relaxed mindset.

Have you been put in charge of finding the perfect vacation home? Look no further! This home has something for everyone. It's a 3 bedroom, 3 bath, two level, LOG HOME located in a private wooded setting. Plus, it's located in the coveted Shumont Estates area of RUMBLING BALD RESORT which offers a vast assortment of community amenities including pool, lazy river, lake access, beach, fitness center, salon / spa, boat & kayak rentals, and much more. So, here you get the mountain log home experience while staying in a luxury resort.

Once you arrive, unloading luggage and groceries is easy. The paved driveway has a flat parking area right in front, and the home has a level entry. Once inside, you are welcomed by soaring vaulted beam ceilings, and gorgeous wood throughout including the floors. Entry is through the Living Room where there is an oversized sectional leather couch and activity table with hideaway stools perfect for family game time, cards, puzzles and more all while enjoying the GAS FIREPLACE. It's a great gathering place at the end of the day to cozy-up to the fire and enjoy complimentary WiFi or stream a movie on the large FLAT SCREEN SMART TV. In the evening, spend time on the front porch with seating for 4 and a GAS FIRE PIT.

Steps away is a newly renovated large eat-in kitchen. The dining area has a formal table that seats six for eating, playing games, or planning the next day's adventures. The kitchen has plenty of wrap-around counter space with two stools, refrigerator freezer, electric stove & oven, microwave, dishwasher, DRIP AND KEURIG COFFEE MAKERS, dual sinks, and toaster oven. It's fully equipped with all the cookware and dishes you need for preparing and serving meals. Also conveniently located on the main level is a WASHER and DRYER.

Off the dining area are sliding glass doors leading outside to a large, covered porch. If the weather is right, you can prepare meals on the GAS GRILL and dine outside at the glass table with seating for four. With the doors open, groups at the inside table and outside table still feel connected. Stairs off the porch lead down to a HOT TUB and wood burning FIRE PIT. Just imagine the memories you will make here soaking in the hot tub or roasting marshmallows by the fire.

Back inside, there are three bedrooms to choose from. The oversized Master Suite has a king size bed, two nightstands with drawers and reading lights, big dresser & mirror with plenty of drawers, make-up table, rocking chair, walk-in closet, ceiling fan, and door to the outside deck. Wood blinds help keep it dark so you can sleep-in. The private Master Bathroom has dual sinks with plenty of drawers, large mirror, garden soaking tub, and walk-in shower.

The first Guest Room has a queen bed, nightstand with reading light, 8-drawer dresser with TV, large closet, ceiling fan, and wood blinds. The second Guest Room has three twin beds, perfect for single adults or the children, nightstand with reading light, wood blinds, ceiling fan, and closet. There is a full bathroom between the two Guest Rooms.

Let's go downstairs where more fun happens ….

Downstairs is full of fun and NEWLY RENOVATED. In the first area, you can snuggle-up on the dual sofa seating area or daybed to enjoy a movie on the 48-inch 4K Roku SMART TV or play one of the many board games or the PAC-MAN arcade game or jam out to some tunes with the record player station. Continue on into the larger game room with a ping pong table, dartboard, shuffleboard, and pool table. Great place for your entire party to hang out and make lasting memories. Outside you will also find a large back yard, HOT TUB and wood burning FIRE PIT. If one of the Guests wants to sleep downstairs, there is a sofa bed, a twin bed, and a bathroom with a shower.

AREA THINGS TO DO

Lake Lure Beach located downtown is just 20 minutes away. The Lake Lure marina offers boat rentals, daily tours, and dinner cruises. River tubing, zip-lining, gem-mining, horseback riding, and rock climbing are all within a short distance of the house. The area also boasts 2 beautiful golf courses for those looking to venture out onto the green. Hike Chimney Rock State Park for a breathtaking view. Or explore the charming little town of Chimney Rock with gift shops, specialty stores, restaurants, river walk along the water, riverfront brewery, Burntshirt Bistro and tasting room, all only about 20 minutes away.

For any grocery needs, Ingles Market is a large fully stocked grocery store with deli, bakery, wine, and beer, along with a Starbucks and Pharmacy. The towns of Hendersonville, Flat Rock, Black Mountain, and Asheville (The Biltmore Estate) are between 45 minutes to an hour's drive depending on traffic. Tryon International Equestrian Center (TIEC) offering world class equestrian events throughout the year is a short 20-minute drive. the Towns of Columbus and Tryon are also a short drive away.

Our Guests are welcome to use the amenities at Rumbling Bald Resort. The Resort features all the convenience, entertainment, and amenities you need! Most of the features are located within 1.5 miles from the home and can be accessed with the guest passes left in the home for you at check-in.

HOUSE RULES

NC VACATION RENTAL STANDARDS

First, be aware the North Carolina Vacation Rental Act provides you with certain rights and protections. Second, please be aware of a few local regulations designed to promote a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY LIMITS: Our Vacation Rental Permit mandates a MAXIMUM occupancy limit for this home is 8 persons at ANY time, EVEN IF people are just visiting. You must provide us with the accurate number of people and vehicles in your group. Violation of occupancy rules are grounds for immediate eviction with no refund, and fees will be charged to your credit card to cover any damages.

DESIGNATED PARKING: Vehicles must be parked only in designated areas on the vacation rental property. Parking in the roadway blocking the flow of traffic and parking on neighbor's property without permission are prohibited. There is parking for 3 vehicles at this property. No motorcycles, RV's, trailers, campers, boats, off road vehicles, or oversized vehicles of ANY kind.

ACCESS: You will receive directions and access information once we have received a signed rental agreement securing reservation (this agreement will be sent to you for electronic signature) you will also need to provide a copy of your government issued ID to our company with current mailing address and contact information along with vehicle information for each vehicle that will be at the home during your stay. You will be EMAILED check-in instructions 24 hours prior to arrival provided you have signed your electronic rental agreement and sent in a copy of your photo ID and vehicle information. If you go to a property prior to approval from our office before check-in time you will be accessed an early check-in fee $50.

TRASH DISPOSAL: All household waste & trash must be placed in receptacles considered to be animal proof (e.g., durable with secured lids) when available unless advised otherwise due to increased bear activity. Some homes do not have exterior trash cans because of bear activity. Simply call our office for trash pick up.

MINIMUM AGE: You must be at least 25 years of age to reserve a rental property (no exceptions), sign this lease, and also be a guest at the property during the entire term of the stay. You must present a valid government ID immediately upon booking. If you are not 25, you will NOT be allowed to check-in and no refund will be provided.

NO HOUSE PARTIES: We do not accept reservations from sororities, fraternities, spring-break parties, bachelor / bachelorette / wedding parties, graduation parties, family reunions, or ANY similar groups unless approved at time of reservation. Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals works very closely with local law enforcement to patrol our rental homes, and report to us any occupancy violations. All communities have either security on patrol, or an extremely active Neighborhood Watch program. Any violation of this rule mandates you immediately vacate home without refund, regardless of the remaining duration of your reservation.

FIRE PROTECTION FOR YOUR SAFETY: Fire Extinguisher and Evacuation Plan -This home is equipped with working fire extinguishers and a posted evacuation plan. Removing any of these from their designated location is prohibited. Avoid storing items not to block hallways, doorways, steps, entrances, and exits. Small Outdoor Fires - When an area burning ban is in effect, bonfires are prohibited. Contact your rental home's property manager for information on any burning bans. Outdoor fires are only permitted in a place and manner approved by the Fire Chief.

SWIMMING: Do not swim farther than 50 feet from shore unless accompanied by an observer in a boat.

FISHING: A North Carolina fishing license is required, and all state fishing regulations apply.

BOATING: If you rent a boat, please ask for and review the pamphlet entitled “Lake Regulations & Map”. If you wish to utilize your own boat on the lake, a permit is required and can be obtained at Town Hall or at the town marina.

PERSONAL CONDUCT: Trespassing or venturing onto a neighboring dock or pier, boat house, or property without the owner's permission is prohibited and strictly enforced.

NO SMOKING: Smoking, vaping and electronic cigarettes are prohibited in all our vacation rental homes. You will be assessed an additional CLEANING FEE OF $500 if it is discovered you have been smoking and/or vaping in the home. We ask that all smokers stay outside, at a minimum of 10 feet from any open window or door, and do not stand near open doors or windows allowing smoke to enter the home while smoking on property. Please make sure butts and ashes are not left behind. Discard the butts and ashes in the outside garbage. Do not throw butts on the ground (including the fire pit) or bring them into the home. If there is any tobacco smell in the home after your departure, there will be a minimum $500 charge. Oil lamps, candels, and incense are not permitted due to the long-lasting odor. If these policies are violated, there will be a charge for excessive cleaning.

NOISE: Unreasonably loud noise is prohibited throughout the Town. Please observe quiet hours after 10pm and be aware that sound carries very far over a still lake.

UNRULY BEHAVIOR: Behavior deemed disorderly and causing a disturbance to the public is prohibited. These regulations will be strictly enforced.

SECURITY CAMERA LOCATIONS: Please be advised our homes are equipped with forward facing entry-area security cameras. We monitor for non-reported pets, over occupancy, and number of vehicles.

PETS/ANIMALS are NOT ALLOWED in this home. If you are found to be in violation of this rule you will be required to vacate the property and forfeit the remainder of your stay (no exceptions, and strictly enforced). You will also be assessed a fine of $500 for the violation. No refunds will be given!

RENTAL AGREEMENT AND TOTAL BALANCE: You will be required to sign a vacation rental agreement before your reservation is secured and finalized. Failure to sign rental agreement within 72 hours of booking will result in cancellation of reservation and forfeiture of deposit. Any monies received by Mr. Lake Lure Vacation Rentals for occupancy of vacation property indicates your acceptance of the terms of our vacation rental agreement in full. Your total amount listed on the Mr. Lake Lure® Vacation Rental Agreement may be different than the amount paid to the 3rd party website where you booked the reservation. All third-party websites charge differing amounts as Guest Service Fees for using their services. We have no control over those fees and do not collect them.

Please read your vacation rental agreement carefully before you begin your vacation. All policies are strictly enforced. It is the responsibility of all guests and members of their party to be familiar with all policies pertaining to rental.

ALL PROPERTIES OFFER AN INITIAL SUPPLY OF THE FOLLOWING AMENITIES:

Including, but not limited to: bed linens and bath towels (2 bath towels and 2 washcloths per Guest, 2 hand towels per bathroom sink), dishwasher detergent (2 loads) and dishwashing soap, new sponge, laundry detergent (2 loads), hand soap, (1 set per bathroom sink, including hotel size: 1 bar of soap, 1 shampoo, 1 conditioner and 1 lotion), paper towels (1 roll), toilet paper (2 rolls per bathroom), and garbage bags (2 kitchen bags, plus 2 black bags). If you don't feel this will be adequate for your stay, you will want to stop and pick up more on your way. All properties provide fully equipped kitchens or kitchenettes, including coffee makers as well as some cooking utensils. Locked pantries and closets are reserved for the use of the Property Owner and are not accessible to Guest. Rearranging furniture or removing any items from the Property is prohibited.

ITEMS YOU WILL/MAY WANT TO BRING FOR YOUR STAY:

Extra folding chairs, beach towels, shampoos/ body soaps, hair dryers, basic cooking condiments, tin foil, plastic wrap, food storage containers, coffee, board games, fishing poles & tackle, floats, life preservers for toddlers/infants, golf clubs.

CHECK OUT: 10:00am local time (or earlier) NO EXCEPTIONS. Housekeeping will arrive very shortly after 10:00am to prepare the home for the next Guest. Late check-outs will be charged the applicable daily rate or $50 per hour, whichever is greater to the credit card on file if the home has not been vacated by 1:00pm.

*** Lake Lure will be undergoing a drawdown starting January 1st, through the first quarter (March 31st). The lake will begin to be lowered by approximately 1 foot per day until 12 feet has been reached. Infrastructure maintenance, dredging, and dam projects will be expedited during this time frame. These efforts by the Town of Lake Lure may affect access to the lake and restrict any lake usage. The lake will likely be back up to normal levels by mid to late April. No personal watercraft will be allowed on the lake during this time. While we understand this is an inconvenience, this does allow you to enjoy the full beauty of Lake Lure in the fall and holiday season. For more information about the annual lake drawdown, please contact the Town of Lake Lure.
