"We arrived with teens after a long drive in a downpour. Upon check in we learned there really were no gathering spaces or on-site options to get out of the cabin during bad weather, so it was not ideal for our circumstances. But, for activities in the area it is a great jumping off point and truly a magical little place. "The view and the owner/hostess made our stay! The personal attention at breakfast was delightful. This feels more like renting a villa with a morning chef than like a hotel. There are a couple good restaurants at the bottom of the hill for dinner. The drive to La Fortuna is 30 minutes. Be aware there is no air conditioning. There are windows with screens on 3 sides of the villa so the breeze is nice. In the morning you’ll hear a beautiful symphony of birds. I would stay here again."
