Beautiful mountain views and amazing mornings, awakening to the sounds of all manner of birds, frogs and other animals. "The property was very unique- literally set in the rainforest! It was so lovely to sit on the patio and hear the birds, watch the hummingbirds, look at the volcano and be at peace. We stayed in the suite deluxe room which was incredible. We especially loved the open air rock shower! The rooms were very comfortable, spacious, and were cleaned daily. "Our 2 bedroom villa was wonderful. The beds were comfortable, A/C worked great and we loved the private pool. They provide toiletries and hairdryers. There is a small kitchen area with a coffee maker and mini fridge, no microwave. The only thing we missed was not having a living room to hang out together in, but there is plenty of seating on the porch. Beware the doors lock automatically when you shut them so if you are going out on the porch or pool make sure to take your key. The grounds are...

"Had an amazing stay here. We stayed in one of the newly renovated rooms, very comfy with comfy bed and pillows, I wanted to take them home. Found the main restaurant to be a little stuck up, food was fabulous though. We much preferred the pool side dinner and lunch atmosphere. We used the hot pools on the property and decided to go check out the off site pools, we did not enjoy those, the experience at the hotel was much nicer. Highly recommend a day trip to Tabacon only a few minutes drive...

"20 minutes from downtown La Fortuna. Expect to travel about 5km of rough gravel and potholes on a road where locals live. There are signs along the way to keep you on track; I would not stay here without a car. The property grounds were well kept. There were 13 bungalows in a row; not a resort as the name states (no gym,no activities, no spa, one small pool, one small restaurant, no lobby etc).
