From the moment we arrived, the warmth and professionalism of the staff set the tone for our stay. Angelica at the front desk and Michael the bellhop were true standouts—their attentiveness and genuine care made us feel well supported from check‑in through departure. They elevated our appreciation for the entire team.
The property itself is stunning, surrounded by lush greenery with beautiful volcano views from almost every angle. Because this was a last‑minute booking, we stayed in several different room types. Each offered a unique perspective of the grounds, but the rooms felt fairly standard compared to the beauty of the property overall, and each change felt like a noticeable downgrade. The lack of a gym was also disappointing.
The highlight of our stay was the Chato Suite. While the room itself was simple, the private outdoor area—with its own thermal pool—was unforgettable and absolutely worth the premium. By comparison, the Premium Suite was fine but awkwardly designed, with a Jacuzzi that doubled as a shower and was difficult to get in and out of. Our final room, a Junior Suite, felt like a typical hotel room, though the volcano view remained its best feature.
