"Whipsaw was quiet and back in the woods, which is just what we wanted. We would have loved to enjoy the beautiful porches more but the cool temperatures did not allow. We appreciated the very comfortable beds and crisp sheets and slept so good after long days of caving and exploring the area. The drive to cave tours was longer than we expected, but not terrible and a beautiful drive back through the national park or along the parkway. "Someone really went the extra mile when decorating this house. It feels magical, especially outside with the pond, waterfall, fireplace and deck. The host got back to us almost instantly whenever we had a question. My only small complaint was the beds upstairs could be better. Would definitely stay here again. It was also 15 min from Mammoth Caves so that was super convenient. "

"This place was exactly what we needed. A few days of total relaxation. Watching the birds, squirrels, and river traffic from the screened porch was wonderful. A great place to reconnect with nature. There seems to be plenty of activities nearby if wanted. The property owners are amazing! We'll be back for sure. "

However, there was something moldy smelling that caused my allergies to start as soon as I walked in the door. Also, the shower is tiny with very little water pressure. I made the place work but will not be renting there again."
