"Delicious breakfast. Owners friendly and welcoming. Gorgeous view of the Lancashire countryside from our window. Room clean and spacious. Proper power shower in the bathroom. We were only able to stay one night (this time) but it was pretty much perfect. 10/10"

"This is a wonderful place to stay with a very warm welcome. It's a very comfortable family home with excellent views across Bassenthwaite Lake to Skiddaw, comfortable bed, a very filling full English breakfast (also with cereal and toast), very quiet, a short walk to the lake side, at the foot of Whinlatter Forest and close to a bus stop for the X5 to Keswick or the Workington direction. Parking is next to the house."

"Great place to stay for a few days rest and relaxation. The location is great for walks, dog walks, beach walks or just having a few days in a quiet location to chill. The hotel manager (Caroline) and staff are incredibly helpful and attentive. The bar and restaurant are constantly busy with locals and visitors that makes for a great friendly atmosphere. "The team were really friendly and accommodating. They let me check in early after a phone call, offered good recommendations for around the area, and were good chat at breakfast. Had all the amenities I needed in the room including hairdryer and drink glasses. Breakfast was simple but lovely. The atmosphere was friendly and comfortable, I felt very at home. Thank you for a great short stay! "
