"Its an older hotel - although updated a certain amount (Bathroom looked fairly new) - good location closed to the town centre, decent sized rooms, staff were great, and the breakfast was very good! No on-site parking, but there are several close by car parks (they've got the information at reception). Pro tip - The Sandes Avenue carpark a few mins walk away is only £1.50 for the entire day (If you buy a ticket after the charging period ends at 6pm it'll be good for the entire next day)

"LA Habitación amplia y con una bonita ventana que daba al rio. Buen servicio de desayuno. Muy bien el personal de recepción sobre todo Sophie. Buen gim y piscina cubierta. Cruzabas el puente y estabas en el centro de Kendal.Kendal un poco aburrido con horarios muy restringidos para comer.Cerca de la estación de autobuses para los lagos, bien comunicada."

"I stayed at Carus Green for one night with my 12 year old daughter. Our twin room was welcoming, comfortable and clean with a fantastic bathroom. We arrived late due to travelling from the South, but easily collected our keys and accessed our room. Originally we had not planned to have breakfast at the hotel but made a last minute decision to eat in the restaurant. Reception staff easily fitted us in for breakfast and staff within the bar/restaurant were friendly and professional. As the hotel...

"The room was clean, but in need of some TLC. The lights did work, when the receptionist was told she came fiddled with the light bulbs, eventually they came back on. Once turned off they would not come back on. Very much felt that was an issue the hotel knew about, but had not fixed.
The staff at breakfast were not welcoming. When the breakfast came the bacon and black pudding were not fully cooked. The sausage was poor quality and very peppery.
Rather disappointing.
Will not be staying again."

"The mattress and pillows were amazing. A great night's sleep. The food at the restaurant on the evening was amazing. Very dog friendly. Outside seating with blankets lovely touch. Well recommended. We enjoyed our stay."
