They seemd a little short staffed and, although the food was good, the tables were dirty and (bizarrely) the host told us the half empty restuarant was 'fully booked'. When we saw many empty tables, we asked the bar tender if it would be possible to order food and he was happy to oblige! Also, the lighting in our room was broken, the only way to have light was to keep the harsh overhead light on. The receptionist promised to send a service person but...

"Lovely lady helpfully directed me to the correct address since my sat-nav didn’t. Very helpfully and warm personality.
Room was really clean, fresh towels and a comfy big bed. Everything was well put together, no complaints.
Would stay there again if I were in the area, wished I had another night there.

There were no tea/coffee facilities in the room but free tea and coffee in the bar for members and it actually got you out of bed and up so this wasn’t an issue!
Close enough to the arena to drive or taxi there, was around 5 miles, and the taxi cost £8.

"The shepherd huts are almost new and very well equipped, much larger than expected with quality fittings and underfloor heating. Lovely wooden worktops. The bed is a little high for some but fine for us. There are steps up, which you would expect. The outer hut areas have yet to see any grass, unlike a general area with oicnic benches that are grassed. Overall excellent value. "

"A wonderful stay. We stayed in the Tack Room which was clean, cosy and very welcoming. Wayne sent directions prior to our arrival and check in was perfect. We would most definitely stay here again if we are in the area. We were staying for a visit to the Kilworth House Theatre which was only 20 minutes away by car."

"A unique and quaint property. Owners have a long history with owning the beautiful lodge. Perfect for what we needed (1 might stop over). "Really clean, spacious and loads of plug sockets which was great. Kitchen was perfect for what we needed and car park out the back was very convenient. We walked to Coventry Arena close by, through the big Tesco round the back and found other shops too - incredibly handy would definitely go back. Met the owner and he was really nice, and asked if there was anything he could do - really lovely service. Easily 5*."
