"Skye is a magical place and staying at this property was the most wonderful experience! The property is located in the middle of sheep farms and gorgeous scenery! The house has been renovated and beautifully decorated. The host, Lorraine, was extremely helpful and responsive to all of our inquiries. "We had a great time in the Decca- the former radio navigation station in the very northwest of the Isle of Lewis. It is just some steps of the Butt of Lewis, where there is an amazing landscape with a lot of beautiful sheep."

"We loved our stay at Ridge Edge Cottage! The neighbors (and their dog) were wonderful and it was so fun to live among the locals for a few nights. You have everything you need here including a washing machine (no dryer). The dishes were not all clean in the cabinet but that was an easy fix with the dish soap provided. It is quite far from Portree (45-60 minutes) but well worth the drive. "

"Unser Urlaub war herrlich, Das Haus war super sauber und sehr liebevoll eingerichtet (zum Beispiel selbst aufgenommene Fotos der Region, sehr passend und stimmig). Die Lage ist unbeschreiblich, morgens weckt einen (wenn man die Vorhänge nicht zu zieht) der Sonnenaufgang über der Bucht. Die Lage in Südlewis erscheint uns allen als Beste auf der ganzen Insel, Grade die Bucht von Uig ist wunderschön, nur ein richtiger Pub hat gefehlt. Übrigens war dies der erste Urlaub, bei dem ich weinen müsste,...

"The location of the cottage in Carloway is great for exploring the island of Lewis, it’s archeological sites, many walks and hikes. There is a well stocked shop in town for anything you need. The house is cozy and peaceful looking out on the loch in front. The kitchen has good supplies for cooking. It is the perfect place for rest and renewal in the beauty of the western isles, and also as a base for outdoor activities."
