"There were so many good things about this place.Our hosts were very nice couple, we got freshly made breakfast every morning on time in their beautiful dining room right next to the ocean!What a luxury! The location is hard to beat, walkable distance to Hilo downtown. I love the Poke Market, delicious poke bowl!The bed was extremely comfortable, we had great sleep. Thank you so much, we had a blast!"

"Mike was a great host and gave us easy ideas about entertaining kids. Also directions to find food and other services nearby. The place is like a dormitory, no frills, but everything you need for preparing you own food and getting a good nights rest. It’s an older lodge but everything was sparkling clean and well-maintained. I’d recommend it to friends."

"Comfortable, clean and convenient. It was a nice hilltop location with a great view. The economy room was cute and cozy. The living areas were enjoyable places to spend time. The walls were thin, but guests were respectful of the quiet hours. "

"Spacious, clean hotel with daily breakfast with banana bread and delicious papaya. Friendly staff and the best part is you get the feeling of staying in a tropical paradise since the hotel is surrounded by lush forest even though it is in a small neighborhood. "

"The room was big with everything we needed, including a kitchenette and a Terrace. From the Terrace we could see a sliver of the ocean. The bathroom was excellent with a walk in shower. There was no AC, but multiple fans did a great job of moving the air around. A big kitchen was available outside the units, where we could cook and serve and eat a full meal. Fresh fruits and veggies were provided from the site plantation. We really appreciate that. It was very enjoyable to spend time there. "
