Discover the charm of this delightful and serene accommodation. Nestled in a tranquil setting, the cottage offers a cozy space featuring a bedroom with a queen-sized bed with electric blanket, bathroom, air conditioning, and a living area equipped with a comfortable double sofa bed, television, and mini-fridge. Enjoy a simple breakfast complete with homemade preserves if you choose. Gaze out at the family garden and the treetops from the southwest-facing cottage, with morning sunshine.
A little care is needed as you cross the decking bridge. We are still in the process of repurposing that end of the garden.

Just a 4-minute drive takes you to the heart of Havelock North Village, bustling with excellent dining, shopping, and self-care opportunities. Alternatively, a brief 9-minute journey leads you to the stunning Birdwood Gallery.

For those seeking a blend of work and leisure, the Shepherd's Hut in the garden serves as a dedicated office space, complete with a single bed, making it an ideal spot for a working holiday or a private retreat for young adults. Please note that the property is not suitable for children.

Adventure seekers will delight in the proximity to the legendary Te Mata Peak. Fig Cottage is conveniently located within hiking and biking distance, allowing you to witness the breathtaking sunrises and sunsets over Hawke's Bay. Living in a Garden

Fig cottage is such an appropriate name. You are living in a delightful cottage on the edge of their garden which is just full of an array of plants. Location was close to everything with our car. The addition of homemade jam and fresh fruit made a wonderful addition to our simple breakfasts.The cottage has everything you could possibly want and a lovely porch to sit on at the end of the day.

Cute garden cottage stay

My sister and I stayed at Fig Cottage for a weekend up in Havelock North, it was a great location with easy access to the town. The cottage was very well set up with many breakfast options. Both beds were ready for us on our arrival. We enjoyed playing some of the games and the visits from Lexi the dog, as well as the cute surprise of apricots and raspberries in the morning. The garden was a beautiful setting. We very much enjoyed our stay.

Lovely cottage, lovely garden

Excellent property for a couple, well appointed one bedroomed unit. Lovely shower, bathroom and amenities spotless. Welcome flowers and breakfast foods much appreciated. Also having dishes washed and replaced, and milk provided, was appreciated. Would definitely stay again.

Comfortable Home Base

Great property walking distance (30 minutes) from Havelock North township. Property was clean, extremely comfortable, nestled in a pretty garden area. It was a perfect location for our seven day stay to visit family and visit local attractions such as Napier, Te Mata range and local restaurants and wineries.

Cosy retreat

Christiana was a fabulous host, kindly allowing us to check in early as we needed to get to a function, and leaving a light on for our late return. The breakfast was delicious and I hope to visit again in summer to see the lovely garden in full bloom.

Our overnight stay at Fig Cottage was the ideal break during our trip up the east coast. Friendly and helpful hosts, lovely comfortable cottage, immaculately clean. We highly recommend.

The cottage and separate study worked perfectly for 3 women travelling together, with bedroom, pull-out sofa in lounge and separate single. The breakfast with homemade preserves was a treat. If it was sunny we would have enjoyed it on the deck with view of the garden. Very easy and good location close drive to the village. Highly recommendable.
