(And while the location is a little unusual, road traffic wasn’t really too bad with the air conditioning on.) it was really cool to stay right on the water in a former fishing cabin, while still being easily able to explore Swansboro, Cedar Point and Emerald Isle. "First, I have to say that all communications with Jonathan were excellent. No matter what question I had was immediately answered. The house was as described, very clean and had everything needed for a relaxed stay.Boating, don't expect to bring your own boat as the marsh is very shallow. There is a tandem kayak there but I brought my own kayak with us and it was great, spent a lot of time on the water.Overall it was a great relaxing trip but if you want a busy area with night life this is not...

"We had the best time here! The house is beautiful and very up to date. We loved the seperate building with ping pong. The house was super clean and all the beds were comfortable. We are very thankful for the home owner allowing us to check in 2 hours earlier than expected since we arrived early. Thank you! We would definitely stay here again."

"Loved location, close to Oriental downtown and Bayboro was only 8 miles away. Diamond Shoals Seafood boat landing very close and easy access to house and fishing. House was decorated very nice and felt like home, wished we could have stayed longer. Plan on coming back."

"Michelle is wonderful to work with. Very responsive. i usually stay ON the beach but I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to get onto the beach on the boardwalk/sidewalk. The pool was amazing. 6 inch area is great for our 1 and 3 year old (wish there was a way to stop the one year old from walking into the deep area so we could relax more but still fun) Kids toys and books were perfect. Had everything we needed. And again, Michelle was outstanding."
